Actually beti ke ghar ka pani na pina is not common in muslims…:nono:its hindu tradition and very rare in hindus too…

Actually in Hindu society Bahu can be charged with the conspiracy of sending money or other valuables to her mayka, this type of allegetion may put bahu in trouble, so pundas decided to make this tradition, this safegaurds her from such allegation and also discorages her from doing so:)

She can with permission from Sasuraal, after marriage, Sasuraal take priority over mayaka, that is the tradition:)

In Sindhi Hindus and Baloch tribes which now live in rural Sindh. I also heard that its followed in Rajputs and some of Pashtun families.
