As world cup draws closer to the end, lets revisit some of the highlights of the worldcup and list your best/worst moments of the cup.
My pick:
Best moments:
Rosicky’s goal against america
Frings’ goal against costarica
Zidane’s incredible twist and turn against Brazil
Cech’s superb saves against Ghana
Saudi’s doing sajda’s after scoring goals
Maxi Rodriguez’s strike against Mexico in extra time..pure magic
joe Cole’s wonderful goal against swedes
that 24 touches- goal from arg against Serbs
Worst:
-Saudi keepers slips against ukraine, dumba$$ couldnt stand his ground
-Holland and Portugal players wrestling in a match
-Czech’s defeat against Ghana and Italy when Nedved was probably seen for the last time.
-Gerrard missing a penalty and England crashing out
-Argies showing what sore losers are they. They should learn a lesson or two from Germany.
oh yes how can I forget the sajda done by saudis :k:
saby i forgot the name of that player who got hit by a ball yesterday on his head..and after when he recovered he made a face as if his head is still spinning…did u see that one?
Best Moments:-
- The first goal of Germany '06 by Philip Lahm Vs. Costa Rica.
- T&T holding Sweden to a draw thanks to their goalie Shaka Hislop.
- Joe Cole's Goal against Sweden.
- Argentina's majestic display against Serbia.
- Kaka's drive against Croatia.
- Australia's comeback victory against Japan.
- Brazil's showing against Japan.
- France's attacking display against Togo.
- Sami-Al-Jaber's second goal against Tunisia, and then doing Sajda.
- Kahn giving words of encouragement/advice to Lehmann before the penalties against Argentina, and Lehmann coming over to thank/congratulate Kahn after winning the game.
- Rodriguez's goal against Mexico in extra time. The ball is sailing so high, it seems it will miss the goal. And then takes a dip in towards goal!!
- Grosso's goal in extra time against Germany.
Worse Moments:-
- Van Nistelrooij sitting on the bench against Portugal.
- The ugly match between Holland and Portugal.
- Steven Gerrard missing a penalty.
- Argentina's defensive display after taking a one goal lead against Germany, combined with Pekerman substituting Riquelme.
The Worse Moment Ever:- - Roberto Carlos bent over like a dog on a Zidane set-piece, leaving Henry wide open to score. Its as worse as it gets!!!!
Worst: Zidane's moment of madness and his eventual send off.
Also came to know that Ribery is a convert, named himself Bilal, after Hz Bilal, the black Euthopian slave who converted at the time of the Prophet (pbuh).
His wife is also Moroccon.
Klinsman giving all the German players a chance to play in their third place match, the German team playing an excellent match and wooping to the Portugese (Ronaldo nearly in tears :) ) and everybody being deleriously happy .... was one of the best games for me to watch.
best moment : saudi's doing sajda after the goal........... worst moment : the entire match saudi versus ukraine was horrible.......
