I am a cellular dealer..here is what i think

reception wise Verizon is the best but they dont have good phones.. they are comming up with great minute plans soon.

if you are looking for good phones and more minutes T-Mobile is good for u their reception is not that good as verizon but its good...tehy are comming up with better phones like the sony-erricsson T68i right now and lots more soon, much better than the ones tahey have now.

I personaly dont like sprint ... they do have good phones but their reception is very bad ...if a customer's credit is not approved by T-Mobile or Verizon then i refer him to Sprint as they dont care much about that...

Ahmed Jee i think the best plan for you would be the T-Mobile 500 anytime and free nights and weekends. for 39.99

MP yara, Thanks for the info. I really do appreciate it.

Actually the first ones that I looked into were T-Mobile & Cingular because of the their good price plans. But when I asked around T-Mobile had a very bad coverage area. A friend of mine who lives a few blocks down said she couldn't get the signal inside her house, not even in the drive way. She was to go outside to call. I checked their coverage area for my city & it's not soo good. I am sure it's pretty good in Huston.

Sprint used to be the same with people complaining that they couldn't get the signal in labs etc. But when I talked to a few recent customers they said they have improved on their service by installing a new tower near by.

I am still leaning towards Vorizon though ...

On TV ads, T-Mobile is now advertising 1000 anytime minutes for 39.99

Infact, in our area, Verizon is offering 500 Anytime, Unlimited N&W, 1000 Mobile-to-mobile for 39.99. They are also offering Motorola V60i (pretty compact and neat phone) for 49.99 and as always the best coverage. By the way, their family share plan is good too, and for 15 bucks a month, your wife (or would-be wife), or brothers, sisters can share your minutes. This came in real handy for me, especially because all the calls to my wife are part of mobile-to-mobile and are all free.

Ahmadjee... the problem with Sprint is not their phones (they have excellent phones), and their coverage may also have improved, but I have heard couple of my friends who are on Sprint constantly complain about their billings. It seems, Sprint frequently makes errors in billing and its a pain to get it fixed through their customer service.

Also check mLife (ATT). They are offering Ericson T68i with camera, and a pretty good price plan. Coverage is very decent too.

AT&T is offering $99 for unlimited calling I was gona get that but then i just got another T-mobile phone with an extra 3000 minutes..plus some bonus minutes

AJ I didnt have any problems with my phone when i was in alabama, it worked fine everywhere, at home, outside even when i was in foley, there might be some problem with ur friends phone what kinda phone does she have...?

metroPCS is offering unlimited anytime minutes at 39.99

Not sure about long distance or roaming.

Ok, no more discussions & checking out! I bought one!!!

The same Sanyo 4900 and it’s free with service 300 anytime, Unlimited N & W, with no roaming & long distance (on PCS network of course).

As I got it from Amazon, I will get it in a week or so. I guess I will probably start the activation from next month.

color screen pe marr mittay haan! :p

Cool phone. Sanyo always makes phones full of all kinds of features. Do get PCS Vision to get the most out of it. Phir beth ke games khailtay rehna :)

good choice phone AJ
but did u chk out T-Mobile's sony-erricson T68i I love that phone..
btw which service did u get...

Faisal bhai
ive never heard of metro PCS but 39.99 is tooo cheap there has to be a catch.. till now Nextel and AT&T are the only ones i know of that are selling unlimited plans which are best for ppl who go over their minutes and endup paying 150-200$

munda.. that might be bcz metroPCS have very little coverage and they probably don’t offer free long distance or any kind of roaming. After all how can they get any customers if they don’t offer this kinda deal

By the way, their rate is not 39.99, but flat $35. Long distance is 5 cents/min and here is where you click for more information

ps. ahmadjee got Sprint, I suppose. This Sanyo phone is PCS.
