Best way to spend about a month in canada

I ll be going to canada for about a month - and then prolly return and go again after a couple of months to settle down there ..
This month is only to acclimatize myself  and get a good feel around

BIG QUESTION .. How do I spend this month in Canada ??

Can anyone please offer some tips - where to go - what to see - what to do… Is travelling expensive in Canada ?? Best way to travel.. By bus /Train - I mean how big a dent is it gonna put in my wallet …

I’ll be with family - also two kids with me

( PLEASE dont refer some website - they are all good for nothing and dont offer the required info in most of cases anyway. I would prefer firsthand info based on actual experience .. )

Best way to spend a month in canada is to go to the US.

I know you said don’t refer to websites but I insist for tourists Toronto Obviously you are going to be coming to the big city. Its where the exodus of americans or illegals land.

Where to go? Start off with your praatna at Niagra then make your saath pheray at Skydome and do your sacred walk at CN Tower. WALK downtown, I repeat WALK downtown and thats how you will get your best experience. If you insist on a car, park your car and walk. Use the pubilc transport and not the secluded car. I encourage all travellers to WALK and use public transport when here. Thats how you will get the bang for your buck among other experiences.

It depends on how long you stay here and thats how big the dent will be in your wallet.

Go to the museums, theatres, farms so much to do so little time . . .

PN, you didn't say about your staying arrangements. With family, friends or motel, etc. If you will be staying with the family its different story but if you are planning to stay in a motel/ hotel type of accommodations, it's better to rent a small apartment or basement unit for a month. It's hard to find but I think will be available...
Car or public transportation depends on what you want to do. If you were planning to look into career or business opportunities, renting a car would be better. If you want to see places, as Coco said, public transportation would be better (especially for Toronto areas...).
My friend from Middle East visited us in January and it was his first visit after immigration. We arranged a rental basement unit for him for a month and he rented a car on weekly flat rate... worked out good for him.

Not staying with family or friends
Would need some sort of temporary accomodation for a month

not particularly interested at this time in looking at employment or business opportunities - That would come at a later stage - This visit is just to make a first entry - see the country - visit some places :)

Thanks for the suggestions guyz
