Name the best tv Director currently we have. I thing Mehreen Jabbar is the best. It seems that Shoaib Mansoor is no more interested in TV.

I think Haissam is not a good director. He only took good stories like Novel Banu by Razia Butt and Noor pur ki rani was also based on some novel. Other wise his director is just ok. One can see in Chaudhween ka Chand very lose direction.

WHAT ARE TO TALKING ABOUT? Haissam is the best and the most versatile director we have and Chowhiveen Ka Chaand was brilliant. It was a trend setter for hundred other Ramzan plays to follow. And if you think that Haissam is not a brilliant director then all i say do is to smile on your comment. :):):):):)

Chaudhween ka Chaand , the main idea was good, which he took from same arabic comdey play. But after few episode it was totally over acting and out of control

Haissam is taking good subjects. So the power of his drama is the adoptation (60%) and his work is (40%).

I am a film student and planning to do some quality work myself when i put my hands in direction. What i have learned about direction while studying films for the past 3 years, Haissam's work is most detailed. But probably you have a very different insight to judge a director, i myself am a avid fan of Haissam. He has an art to create magic on screen. I am proud of the fact that he's a Pakistani. Cant wait to watch his film. As for Chodhiveen Ka Chaand, we use to discuss it in our mass communication class at Kinnaird, so that speaks allot for the project.

Nili777, good to know that you are film student and planning for direction. But before start your career, try to get some internation certificate on film making, like from USA or UK universities. so that we can get fresh look on our screen. And try to be fare with our values and culture.
Make your ideal high, so that you have to work hard to reach it. Like David Leon.
I want to know, did Pakistani dramas ever got award in USA or Europe? It not why. Our director did not plan there projects to get these awards, or we don't have talent? or we make drama in a hurry.

Dude, I am about to finish my degree from US. I can aim realistic because we have a poor country and don't have market and budgets like Hollywood. The reason i replied to your strange comment was just to let you know that I know direction because I have studied it. Our plays like Alpha Bravo Charlie and Dastaan should be sent to some Television Awards.

Nili777 there is not need to study direction, if you want to make a comment. Any body who has scene to watch a drama or movie can make a comment. I did not study direction, but i watch lot of movies and dramas and i can make analysis.
I agree ABC should be sent to some television awards. Daam is another example of good direction and acting.
Dastaan has a filmi touch and all plays of Haissam has filmi touch like Noor pur ki rani and chaudhween ka chand. From camera work to background music.
When i say filmi touch i means unrealistic filmi masala. For example there are two indian movies on freedom fight story 1 Manooj Kumar's Karanti 2 Shashi Kapoor's Janoon. Now for me Janoon is a good movie, while Karanti is filmi masala from every aspect. But Janoon is a very low budget film while Karanti is a huge budget and star cast film.
Niki 777 to get international award we don't need very big budget but we need planning and hard-work.

We are on this forum to make comments. I didn't ask you not to make comments, all i tried to do is to educate you about direction because a director's job is invisible. People judge actors on their acting and writer on their dialogues. But common people don't see where the director's job lies. You like particular kind of movies and plays. Normally that genre is known as realistic or art house. Its ok to like those but calling others bad who dont make stuff that you like is not ok. You need to educate yourself to understand the requirements of others genres. You gave me an example of an indian flick, i'll give you another. I only your choice your movies are good then how come Devdas, Veer Zara, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai , etc are big hits and adored by the audiences. You calling Haissam Hussain not a good director puts me off because i am not an idiot who thinks his work is brilliant. You should have said that you dont like his kind of work.

Niki 777 I never say that i like only Art House or realistic, i like commercial also. For example in commercial dramas i like Khaja and Son, Unkahi. Also for movies i like Sholay, Karma, Ganga Jumna etc.

The movie which you mentioned, unfortunately i did not watch any of them.

So i can like this kind of work if it really appeal me. I think Haissam is ok director and he is overrated.
