Captain comes on the wicket in 5/6th over, with 3 wickets down and 4 runs on the board…with no miandad/saeed anwar/salim malik on the other end…is bound to stay on wicket and make sure the team plays all 50 overs…

Agree mostly but why Najam Sethi is disaster for Pakistan Cricket? Do you have some facts to back that up. The cricket is in decline for long and the humiliating losses have been happening since Geneal Tauqeer took over, although back than we had better players. Under Najam, finally we have a PSL which has already give 3-4 good players. I am not refuting you but like to objectively understand why Sethi is a disaster vs. Other clowns running PCB before including the stupid general.

I am now holding judgement on him. Sarfraz was out of the team despite him being better than akmal (wicketkeeper) or even the aggressive captaincy a’la Imran unlike that of azhar ali. All of our current team can fall apart by recalling useless “seniors” in the next tournament.

I see. Fair enough. I think Sethi is doing a better job than any one since Majid Khan days in late 90s. The current success to a greater deal is due to PSL which could hve started earlier but its Sethi who got it going and we are already seeing fruits. My comparison point for Sethi doing good is with respect to performance of the stupid general, ijaz butt types that means lot is left to be desired.

^ just because people above you were doing tuk tuk doesn’t mean you continue doing that yourself. Misbah was a poor rotator of the strike, period; did not know how to milk ones and twos and that is the point here. With him it was either Tuk Tuk or big hits.

This thread will be derailed. But I seriously suggest to have a look into the innings he played after becoming captain. Also consider the T20 , 2007 matches where he was taking singles and players on the other side rather than supporting him by taking singles getting out on rash shots.
If a captain cannot trust that in case he takes a single and his partner cannot survive even 1 or two balls, what he gonna do. Even than his strike rate is 73 which is not bad.
