Re: Best tablet
what’s your use-case? work / personal / productivity / leisure?
You’re going to get a range of opinions here… it’d be better do evaluate them within the context of your use.
Personally, I own the ASUS EEE Transformer which is a great device for my own needs… my second choice would have been a Playbook.
Re: Best tablet
I have not figured the productivity aspect of the gadget, mostly leisure, reading books, checking emails without having to boot my laptop, communication, and ,of course, watching some shows.
I am not too eager to try every application ever written for the device but I should be able to find what I want to install.
Re: Best tablet
Umar bhai, Its a bummer that you like it ![]()
OP, consider Samsung Galaxy and iPad!
Re: Best tablet
^ Saby, if you do a feature-by-feature comparison, the playbook beats the iPad hands down… what made me choose the ASUS over it was just that I was impatient for more apps, but in a couple of months android apps are going to be made available on it. There’s absolutely nothing like the form factor of the playbook and it’s true multitasking beats that of any other tablet platform including the honeycomb.
The iPad is a good device - I used it for a week but it didn’t cut it for me since I use a lot of flash on a day-to-day basis… many eBooks and trade pubs still use flash and I couldn’t give them up. Also, I wanted the USB/SDCard interface which wasn’t available in the iPad. Finally, my own experience with iPad 1 wasn’t too great in terms of multitasking either.
Samsung Galaxy? r u serious? this one is not even on my list along with the likes of xoom… the form factor and the multitouch interface on both of them leaves a lot to be desired.
Re: Best tablet
Actually I’m hearing really good things about the Samsung Galaxy, ofcourse I haven’t actually seen it yet.
Transformer is being upgraded and the new model is supposed to be coming out around October. Anyone interested in buying an iPad2 in mint condition get in line ![]()
Here’s the details on the new Transformer
