I have been really into gel moisturizers. Its just a drug store brand but I have been using the Shea Butter Moisturizing Gel by Vaseline. Has been helping in this dry winter air.

I really love aveeno daily moisturizer… It is not oily like most moisturizers and my dermatologist recommended it to me. It doesn't clog pores and is fragrance free.

Ponds is lighter than Nivea. Nivea is good when your skin is really dry.

I am using oil at the moment. Monoi Miracle oil. My skin is like sandpaper.

I've had acne skin, dry skin, and maybe some level of combination, I dunno, but overall, very prone to acne.
What seems to work nicely, and works great under foundation is oil.
Loreal Age Perfection Oil.
Having said that I errupted ONE pimple today overnight, but interestingly, it's not inflamed and painful like the pimples usually are with my PCOS (hormonal acne). The oil has definitely helped areas heal that were not healing and were excessively dry.
Clinique's even better spot corrector as my daily mosturizer.
I have also used neutrogena's clear face sunscreen moisturizer.
In fact, the sunscreen is practically a must, if you want to even out your skin tone and if you want blemishes to go away.

I have slightly sensitive skin. I had mentioned somewhere in these forums about POMADE hair cream which I was using for face and hands because it is light, well moisturising and being orange in color used to give good color tone to my pale skin. Also the salesman had told me it was made up of pomegranate and other finest ingredients.
But with the onset of winter, I felt the color of my skin and my face and lips had turned dark especially the back of my palms. And also my skin has become drier than it usually is. Meaning if you continue to use POMADE, you're fine (with darker skin as if burned) & when you stop, you're skin with become so dry and have cuts and bleed.
I felt my skin was 'burnt' due to chemicals in the cream. It could be because I have sensitive skin. So I have completely discarded use of POMADE and replaced it with a normal vitamin C cream which also absorbs very fast without any grease on the skin, with sun block and tiny shiny particles & no chemicals to burn the skin. But this is a temporary solution until I find a proper, light, well hydrating moisturiser.

I use natural oil as a skin moisturizer like coconut oil or Argan oil. This natural oil is one of the best moisturizer because it can repair and smoothen your skin. I also use a natural Japanese silk facial treatment mask with Argan oil and Vitamin C to make my skin look younger and beautiful.

got it last year from fateh store y block along with some other cosmetics from different counters in the cosmetic section. All the other cosmetics turned out to be either fake or expired so kind of total waste of money. But surprisingly this vitamin c is good. guess the counter guy selling it probably was honest. Currently I'm also using the good old Vaseline because this vitamin c cream is not as moisturising for drier skin types henceis not a good replacement for a moisturizer. It is good for summer though.

what moisturizer do you ladies recommend for dry/flaky skin on the faces/cheeks/forehead? i have been using oil of olay and mixing rosehip oil, but by the time i get to work you can see the flaky skin covered with powder/makeup. i have been using light/minimal face wash as not to dry out my skin and have also been using my clarisonic occasionally to help exfoliate but to no avail :(.

My winter routine this year. Figured this out on sheer accident.

then over this, I put my foundation.
I do not look remotely caked or dry, and because the foundation goes on top of an oil layer, it sits smoothly on the skin ( I have a few acne lesions now on my skin so it's not entirely even anymore :( :( :( ). But this approach with the oil covers up a lot of the rolling acne scars, they're not as obvious. Plus it's winter so this prevents the skin from drying out.
Having said that I have had some breakouts on my chin doing the oil routine, but I think I would have had these breakouts anyway, because my PCOS symptoms are not controlled, so it's not just the acne, my hair is falling out again and libido went skyrocketing, and I'm not taking my aldactone regularly or the birth control regularly because of the work schedule. So there ya go. I'm sure if I took my meds regularly and was more regimented about work-outs and food, then there would not be any breakouts.
In summary, the oil is NOT causing my breakouts, if anything it's soothing the skin down and making it less inflammatory. I didn't have my oils with me this long weekend, and my skin got red, inflamed and angry, and didn't calm down until I put oil on it again.

Lots of oil moisturizers now available on the drugstore brands too. Try using the 100% oil products, not the ones that have other synthetic items mixed in. The loreal brand I’m just trying to use, because I hate wasting product. But it’s got synthetic stuff in it. Does have a balmy smell, because of the variety of oils used.
Face oils really work great.

Combination skin that is acne prone. Various oils - currently using avocado and camellia.
For body, I started using organic shea butter a few months ago and LOVE it.

i use citafil my dermatologist office sells it my skin is dry so it works good.there was a time my skin was oily i used to use clinique misturizer it worked good

ugh. i'm so annoyed :(. i use cetaphil to wash/gently cleanse my face and moisturize with oil of olay and rose hip oil twice daily yet my skin is still dry and flaky near my nose/cheeks/chin areas :(. i've gently exfolated as well to remove the flakes but it doesn't seem to help. the fact that i'm preggos too...i really don't want to try anything drastic as well. any other suggestions? i was thinking of globbing on vaseline at night, but not sure if that will work and then i worry about clogging my pores by doing that.
