Re: best shampoo

If you already have an oily scalp, then maybe just use the almond oil treatment on the bottom half of your hair rather than all over because that would probably just make your scalp more oily. I would suggest using a clarifying shampoo like the Moroccan Oil Clarifying Shampoo or the more affordable Herbal Essences Fresh Balance Clarifying Shampoo so that you can get rid of any build up. Obviously don’t use clarifying shampoos on a regular basis because then your hair would probably get used to that or worse start stripping off..lol I really don’t know.

Anyway.. Use a clarifying shampoo, say once every month but for in between washes use something like Aussie’s Luscious Long range or Aussie’s Miracle Moist Range so it provides the hydration that your hair currently require. Ojon does some really good shampoo/conditioner ranges too, but they’re slightly expensive.

Leave-in conditioners are a personal choice. I don’t think they’re any better than the almond oil treatment you’re currently doing at home anyway. Although I would suggest instead of just using almond oil, find one that is suitable for your hair type.. Something like Moroccan Oil and Argan Oil are quiet diverse but also the bog standard mustard oil aka sarson ka tail is extremely beneficial!

To prevent your hair from being too greasy, wash them regularly, do not oil your scalp as much, do not use conditioner on your scalp, avoid touching your hair, avoid heat treatment as much as possible, use heat protection spray if you have to. Pray like hell =(

What you can do, along with the iron tablet is maybe some cod liver oil capsules and Omega-3 =))

Re: best shampoo

Thanx roshni for suggestion.
The shampoo u hv mention is available in lhr?? Wr i can get in lhr. ??
Mustard oil dont suits me. Its consistency is thick and didnt apply evenly.i dont like it.
Which on leave in conditioner is best. I nevr ever hv used it.
Hairs r n much oily. U cam say normal to oily. As hot season is here, so when no lite or during cooking they wet . And give bad odour.

Re: best shampoo

Amaya...please cut your hair. It sounds like you've had 'hip length hairs' for some time now and it needs a trim badly. Your hair seems like its damaged, long and needs some real TLC. Oiling and braiding with no cutting or treatment will not do anything. You're oiling your scalp three times a week - you don't think that will make it oily? And shampoos are not the answer since all they do is wash your hair - they're just meant to cleanse - nothing else. You need to start taking vitamins for hair and pleeease go get a haircut.

Re: best shampoo

TLC means reha??
Sec dont say me to cut my hairs i love my hairs much. Someone suggest me desi ghee with almond for fallng hair that i hv started. And loreal new shampoo for fallng hair nw hv started. Lets see.
Plzzzzz excpt cut them.tell wt do i do,,??
I am ready to do anythng for it.

Re: best shampoo

TLC = tender loving care.

I agree with Reha, cut some of it off at least the regrowth will be healthier. InshaAllah it will grow back healthier

Re: best shampoo

If you're ready for anything then why not trim them as Reha said ? Like cutting 1-2 inches. It will give a more healthy look. I regurarly trim my hair and they grow back faster from what I've noticed.
Few months ago I was using Dessange Nutri extreme (worked like a charm) and nowadays it's Dove hair therapy oil nutrition and this one is equally good.

Re: best shampoo

Dear i hv said i cant cut. But i do trim. This month i trim again abut 4-5 inches. I do it every month.

Topical treatments such as oil etc are great...but u need to be putting healthy stuff into ur body for it to show. Ie) drinking loads of water makes ur skin look good... just the same with hair, add some vitamins and eat fish oil. Your hair will strengthen only then. Oil and ghee will only make ur scalp more oily.

On that note - u have an oily scalp...stop putting oil on ur scalp! Whenever you're done taking a shower...immediately afterwards, dab a little bit of baby oil on the ends of ur wet hair to keep them hydrated. Stop slathering oil on the roots. It will not help!

Re: best shampoo

Desi ghee and oil will help if you have brittle, dry hair that needs conditioning. TLC means Tender Loving Care. I am not saying chop your hair off but you need to go to a good hairdresser and tell them to take off all the damaged ends. Drink water, take hair care vitamins and start paying attention to your diet as well. This will not happen overnight and WILL take time but that's how you repair hair - through patience and time. Iron and protein.

Re: best shampoo

My hair fell a lot a few years back but now my hair isn't falling. It's actually getting longer and thicker, mashaAllah.

You can try L'oreal Elvive Smooth-Intense Anti-Frizz Shampoo. It works beautifully. Also, you should cut your hair from hip-length to at least mid-back. If your hair is dry and damaged at the tips, then whatever you use to revive your hair will fail because it'll grow dry and brittle anyways.

Re: best shampoo

Yh right ur point seem reasonable. I stop oiling the scalp and roots. And nw thnkng just apply oil into hair and ends. And wash.
Thanx for piintng out it

Re: best shampoo

You need to eat vitamins and fish oil and loads of water as well...as Reha said....it will take time but that's the only way to truly have healthy, strong hair.
