Best recipe for Pakki hui chai ?

Please share your recipes .. I have tried making it .. but it comes out so bad , I end up throwing it away every single time :frowning:

my bhabhis make the best chai.

they add more milk than water (3:1 ratio) and sometimes if they have to make a lot of chai, they add one extra tea bag. they pakka it for a good while and when its a reddish tinge to it, its ready.. so yummy.

same here...when i'm feeling extra mehrbaan on my hubby, i'll make him pakki huwi chai....

like afshi said, more dhood than water, and two tea bags, because he likes it karak...let it boil away, slow and steady (so that it does run over!)

I skim off the skin that forms on top as well....

This is how I make it and it turns out pretty decent; Take a full cup (Mug = 250 ml) of COLD (Not from the fridge but do not use warm or hot - kills the purpose) water. Turn your oven to the highest. Let the water boil. I normally add an ilaichi as well. When the water starts boiling, let it boil for 15-30 seconds, add 2 tea bags, turn the heat to the lowest and cover the utensil. Let it steep for a good 5 minutes. Add condensed milk to it. Make sure you either warm the milk for 30 seconds, if it's out of the fridge. Turn the heat to medium-high and once it boils again, serve it. Some people like it more pakki hoi but I find it starts tasting a little weird if it's too overly cooked

OP: make it on dehmi aanch (low flame), and put little bit more milk than usual.

i would say karhi hoye chai. :@:

main iss main kamal hasil kar chuka hon. pehlay to chai bilkul pani ki tarah hoti thi, mager bad main thora buhat experiment kay bad pata chala kay yeh to sirf aanch ka kamal hai.

Simple :cb: In microwave and with evaporated milk. Put your mug in microwave with tea bag for 1 min to 1 min and 20 seconds. When its really hot cover it so the redish color comes add evaporated milk and its done.:smiley:

On a serious note it depends on every individual’s taste some people like more milk, some people like karak chai, some people like doodh patti and some lazy people like me like microwave chai.:wink:

for 3 cups tea takr 2 cups water 1 cup milk add i or 1.5 tsp of tea dust /powder and cook till its ready
