Best pots for cooking

Salaam All,

I am totally fed up of my pakistani pots for cooking. The only good thing about them is they are big so can cook large amounts. I am fed up of the onion burning because the base is so thin, Im fed up of there being no handles on them to grip, just little bits of metal sticking out the side. I am fed up of them going all weird inside with scratches cause the metal is so rubbish - the list goes on

Please help me find some good pots for cooking, preferably something I can get in London or buy online in UK. I have looked at stockpots/casserole pots - these look fine for small amounts but what do I do for family dawat type occassions.

Thanks

Uzma

p.s. I also want to get a decent pressure cooker

Re: Best pots for cooking

Hmmm dunno if you can find Lagostina online and available for purchase in UK. But they are a reliable brand that is not very expensive but not cheap. I don't know what you are willing to spend but I purchased my set on sale for $250.00 ten years ago. It was 50% off so the list price was $499.99.

The pots are stainless steel with a thick layer on the bottom to prevent burning. I have never had a stain that I couldn't remove from them.

^I love Lagostina cookware, really durable stainless steel material but it's very expensive!
