I agree with what u say sir but I think the masjid scene in the USA is better. All kinds of Muslims come together eg Arabs , Indians, Pakistanis, bangladeshis, Egyptians, Caucasian and speak in English.
Khutbahs, talks , every thing is in English!!! And I like that there are many Pakistanis and Indians , (Urdu speaking ones) in the masjids too (If I want to feel more at home)
Also, in the USA, most schools have Muslim students associations (MSA). Quran classes are available and that too in English and Arabic.
In contrast, Singapore doesn’t have English Quran classes. When I was growing up in Singapore we had a maulvi sahab who taught us and came home. Most of Quran class At masjids were taught in Malay, very frustrating for me. And most people who attend mosques are Malays and they all speak in Malay! Friday khutbah in Malay as well… (anyways not many women go for Friday prayers in Singapore due to space constraint)
That’s one down side in the Singaporean society if u look at religious point of view for non Malay speaking Muslims like me. Gd thing though that Urdu is offered at O and A levels.
yes halal meat is available in Singapore all over but even in the western countries it is available.
I have to admit that I do miss halal fast food that is offered in Singapore
