the 1.8M is JUST from IPL... this does not include a LOT of other money that BCCI pays him for tests ODIs and t20s... + all the other billions of rupeess in commercials..

True. This is only his IPL contract. It does not include the BCCI regular contract plus match fees. And I am not even counting the endorsements :)

This analysis is flawed. If you look at IPL, Gambhir’s contract is for $2.4 mn and Yusuf Pathan’s for $ 2.1Mn. Both make more than Dhoni in IPL.
But these are just IPL amounts. This does not include the regular BCCI contracts.

hmm i doubt about highest tax payer.may be just for his home state,sachin has done lot of investment on his bussiness which his brother takes care of, remember all the huge money he is use to get in late 90s,he was first player to touch 1crore mark in advt even before shahrukh.also sachin has more brand value then dhoni compare to 2years back.good example was liquor endorsement deal sachin was offered 20cr for 3yrs.which sachin rejected,same endorsemen was accepted by dhoni for 25 cr for 5 years
