Regarding the PAK-SA game, obviously Pak’s problem continues to be its erratic batting. If the batting somehow clicks…I see no reason why Pakistan cannot defeat SA. SA is due for a defeat anyways. That said, a team that can win so consistently in a luck-laden format as T20 deserves to be commended. Even the Sri Lankans had a few close shaves but SA have been winning fairly comfortably.
Meanwhile BCCI should open MRF Yorker Foundation to train the Indian Bowlers and MRF Bouncer Foundation to train Indian batsmen.
And as for Dhoni - never liked his Captaincy - yes, even when India was winning - esp his strong likes/dislikes for certain players. And his batting - well I haven’t seen any batsman put in so much raw power behind a shot just to get a single. His honeymoon with the Indian public appears to have ended.
Not sure about the Dhoni bit but it is fair to say that India have under performed in this tournament. With the batting they have they should really have beaten both England and West Indies. And after the start they had today - 40 odd for no loss after 6 overs - they should have chased down 130
As for Pakistan I have nothing more to add than what I have already said in the match thread. Batting as you rightly point out is the main concern

Sohail Tanvir is too erratic and wayward. He can go for plenty if it is not his day incl. wides and no balls which we can ill-afford in a SF. Younus already has 7 bowling options - Aamer, Razzaq, Ajmel, Afridi, Malik, Fawad and Umar Gul.
More than bowling the unpredictable and inconsistent batting is a worry and gives you the biggest headaches
It is going to be the same ground where South Africa played against India today. Don't know about Thursday's wicket but today's pitch was a slow turner and having Fawad Alam in the side therefore makes more sense. 150+ is a must if we bat first and I won't like us to be chasing anything more than 140. SA made just 130 today and still won the game.
I know Tanvir can slog a bit but with Fawad in the side we bat down to no. 8.

btw, my absence was not just because of Pak's wins....even when India win something major I stay away.......because I generally don't like it when the discussion is centred around chest-thumping either by Pakistanis or Indians. The last T20 WC was the only exception when the thrill of the last over victory got to me.
T20 is a great leveller my friend.....so don't get too cocky just yet. This is a format where Australia got booted out in the 1st round remember.
