Best of London

If you have 3 days in London, what are the best things to do and where to eat?

Re: Best of London

Meet stoppit and milly and everything else will fall into place :)

Where are you staying? Are the kids with you?

Re: Best of London

staying with a friend stoppit. No kids.

Re: Best of London

Depends how touristy you want to be.

Go on one of the sightseeing tour buses and combine it with a river cruise ticket. Having the bus ticket means you can get on and off whereever you like.

Most museums and art galleries are free unless you want to go to one of their exhibitions e.g. the one on Hajj at the British Museum.

Re: Best of London

Depends where in London you are staying, surely if with friends they can recommend things to do/places to eat.

If you are American/Canadian and it is your first time in Europe, why not hop on the Eurostar and take a day out in Paris too? 1.5 days London, 1.5 Paris

Re: Best of London

Buck Palace, Trafalagar Aquare, Big Ben, House of Parliament, St James's Park, Green Park, Hyde Park ..are must visits and can be done in 3 hours as they are all close by. London Bridge.

Depends what you like or want to eat....and see...

Re: Best of London

I'm also oing to london for a week during easter. I want to know about the best eating places.

Good places for gol gappay ?

Halal KFC?

Re: Best of London

Drama Queen,

KFC is not what you want to eat in London when there are so many fantastic halal places to eat

try a new cuisine if you haven't had a chance to

Loads of Halal Lebanese places, Egyptian, Chinese..

Re: Best of London

Barakah Eatery is HMC and a brilliant place. Other halal shops are not zabiha so depend if you’re okay with eating non-zabiha meat. Here is the HMC (which is 100% halal) website for food places in London.

Re: Best of London

Thanks Catskin and Confucius.

Yea i would like to try out new places too.. can u tell the names and locations of some good chinese places.

Also is there any restaurant which serves the desi style chicken manchurian (that i loved so much in pakistan)??????? I'm badly craving for it.

Re: Best of London

It depends what kinda food you're into....For desi food there are plenty of good restaurants in east london (Tayyabs, Needoos, Bundu khan, London Darbar etc)

Maida grill probably do the finest turkish food, Their mix grills are scrumptious... there are quite a few turkish kebab shops down hackney area and furthur down, they are amazing and CHEAP lol

Quite many people go Edgware road in particular for lebanese food and sheesha places (though I dont think the food is THAT great), You might also wana try out tinsle town and Meat&Wine Co at westfield for steaks (lil pricey but Ah-mazing food)

Browse through KFC's website and you will find a list of their halal outlets closer to you :)
