Best Mobile Browsers

Which do you use, and why?

  • Chrome (Android & iOS)
  • Safari (iOS)
  • Firefox (both)
  • Opera Mini (both)
  • Opera (Android)
  • Dolphin (both)
  • Atomic (iOS, $1.99)
  • iCab (iOS, $1.99)
  • Puffin (both, $2.99)

I’ve used the top 3, in the process of checking out Opera and Dolphin. The feature in Dolphin I’m really interested to see is the custom gesture controls, so you could draw a G and arrive at Gupshup…

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

Chrome because it's the default on a android and it syncs my stuff on chrome PC.
Opera mini because it's fast and light.
Opera, for different stuff.

Can't trust other browsers.

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

So you have a good experience with Opera. I've been reading good reviews.

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

Who uses paid browsers !? :rotfl:

I think that they have improved firefox, but I am a chrome person on mobile platforms (iOS and android) due to its syncing ability by default unlike doing the syncing through passcodes or download xmarks (possible on mobile?). One word lesson for Mozilla syncing: usable!

I used to use dolphin for watching movies etc on my tablet as opera on tablet would fail to do it right on mobile platforms and even PCs. One thing going for opera mini is its light usage on resources, but chrome and firefox have pretty much picked up the innovations of opera over the years. Opera used to be the thang in the past.

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

Depends on what you want to use it for. Opera mini is fast and light, and it helps save on data usage. As the pages are compressed you can't do much and can't post on GS.
OPERA has an off road more which basically turns it into opera mini. Firefox is also pretty good

I was using Firefox on both my phone and tablet, but switched to Chrome mainly because of the ChromeCast that we bought.

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

Well, tru dat.

But then you have some people like me who don’t mind paying when they really want to check something out. :snooty:

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

I’ve got news for you.

Chrome only. Tried lots of browsers on tablet all of them baykar…I blame it in archos for discontinuing support for 101 :mad2:

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

Android Default browser, chrome, firefox and dolphin. My default is the android default browser.

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

What android version are you using?

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

Opera is User friendly For Mobile.

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

4.2.2 (Running a custom ROM)

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

Hasn’t Android default browser pretty much been replaced by Chrome as default ? Yeah, I know some of you are running gingerbread OSes, but most of you are tech freaks who want the latest in everything! :hehe:

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

Not really. I think that would be true for the google android builds but on my S4 the default browser is still different.

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

Chrome ..... is the best browser for my android mobile

Re: Best Mobile Browsers

Didn’t knew you were talking about mobile browsers.
Well, chrome is good. firefox and opera are also good but they are both missing some functions. IE on Windows Phones is pretty amazing. Never had much experience with safari and I don’t trust these other browsers such as dolphin. I think I read somewhere that they sell data?
