How does one go about finding and hiring domestic help in Karachi? I’m looking for a man to come everyday for about an hour to do some cleaning, etc.
I’ve seen some ads on internet, but does that really work? Seems like most of the domestic workers class might not have access to the internet to see the ad!

Wouldn't their massi already be working for them, and thus taken?

Maybe but that massi knows other massi who can work for you probably get relatives and friends

when you are approached by female beggars, ask her to instead work for you and get paid. negotiate with one of them.
my bro got one like that in Lucknow, India. she has been with us for the last 5 years...she is a great woman.

haN yeh bhii sunne ko miltaa hai magar 10 yaa 20 ke ba’d koii ek to mil hii jaayegii. 
Disclaimer: yeh tareeqa koii biwii talaash karne ke liye na apnaaye k 10-20 laRkliyoN se poochhne ke ba’d koii ek to ‘haN’ kar hii degii!

we pay her Rs 3000 per month plus food and extra money/clothes on Eid and Baqra Eid…sadaqaat [NOT zakaat], tips from visitors.
Khush ho kar aksar uske bachchoN ko paise denaa, khaane peene kii cheezeN denaa aur tevhaaroN par eidi aur kapRe denaa…etc.

nahiiN, ab aisaa bhii nahiiN hai India meN bil Khusoos chhoTe shahroN meN...bahot sii ladies sirf tanKhowaah aur Eidi aur Eid par kapRoN pe hii kaam kartii haiN ... bahot huaa to koii guest aayaa to vo kuchh de detaa hai.

Mine works in many houses in my neighbourhood and is our previous maasi's cousin. I think my maali vouched for the previous one. So you need to ask around your neighbours especially ones with long term domestic help. It also helps to be on good terms with the drivers and cooks around you.
Don't forget to demand a CNIC from her. Don't take anyone without one (and get the Id checked at nadra to make sure it isn't forged)
And also some housing schemes also have some kind of office that provides people for services and some are so strict they want you to register all domestic help. Make sure you know how strict your locality is.

^ No thanks.I dont have any...choti larki rakho tau child abuse..bari rakho tau khud abuse aur blackmail and chori chakaari alag se. I am better off them Alhamdulillah.
