…I have to say that ALL of the meals I had during my visits to Pak were the best…but a few highlights…
2 eggs, fried with spices that were so perfect. And served with the most heavenly bread.
Bhindi masala dripping with tomatoes and onions, spiced to perfection.
Lamb! OMG, better than steak! and so very expensive here…so when I go THERE, I INDULGE. Baah!!!
as far as “here” hmm, outback steakhouse is always lovely, (I posted b4 about the birth of my 3rd…mama wanted a steak intstead of flowers and that was just the BEST).
There is this Arabic resturant in Michigan called Ameera i think on the Arab side. Their food was THE best i have ever tasted and tasted th same as it does in the middle east. Cant wait to visit there again!
Last week, we ate at a restaurant called Isabella’s in Monterey Bay. Nothing beats fresh seafood! I had Tilapia baked in Caribbean jerk seasoning with mango fruit salsa and purple mashed potatoes.
Well anything my mom cooks is awesome. Anything my dad barbeques is awesome. But one of the best non-homecooked meals i had was on my honeymoon in Hawaii. My husband was trying to impress me and got me a filet mignon. I had just given up on 7 years of vegetarianism and this chunk of meat converted me back. I'm sure it was also the company, the view, the smell of the ocean, the candle-lights, the hormones and youth. But I would love to freeze that moment in time.
