best material for bridal lehenga?

I’m getting my bridal lehenga from a designer in lahore. I ve ordered is via emai but communication is really bad so i was wondering if someone could tell me good materials for it.
The designer is using something like “jamma war” never heard abt it since i dont know much abt material and shaffoun for dubatta.
How does jamma war look like? is it a good material? (dnt know how to spell it) and how does shaffoun look like and is it good for dubatta?
THANKS
mia

Re: best material for bridal lehenga?

yes jamawar and chiffon both are good materials and normally all bridals are made up of that.

though i heard bunto kazmi uses net as well..

any bunto`s brides work abt net?

Re: best material for bridal lehenga?

Jamawar can be in both silk or chiffon. Jamawar fabric is when the fabric is self patterned. Both are used in bridals depending on the style and type of fall required.

Chiffon is the standard fabric for a duputta, light and flowy, can be draped and pinned well.

Re: best material for bridal lehenga?

*Kumkhwab. *It is a woven fabric of gold and silver threads. Much richer and extravagant than Jamavar. It is a little expensive but with its intricate shiny booti you wouldn't need a lot of work on your lehnga. All the top notch designers such as HSY and Elan use this fabric for bridal lehngas, shararas, gharara etc.

Re: best material for bridal lehenga?

don't use net. its not a durable fabric..go for chinese/ french chiffon

Re: best material for bridal lehenga?

I'd ask for some swatches to be dhl-d if posible cuz some jamawars are gorgeous while some of them are hideous. Though if its a desginer im sure it won't be hideous... I just find the floral jamawar outdated and hideous. To each their own I guess.
Make sure the jamawar is lined cuz the kaam gets caught quite easily within the own fabric.

bunto does only use net but covers it in embroidery and kaamdani. It looks amazing!
