What do you think was the best match during this World Cup?
Situation-wise, it was very interesting to see Pakistan going out to Ireland, and of course India being whipped up by Bangladesh. In terms of cricket and atmosphere, I think the best match would have to be West Indies vs. England, the last Super Eight match. The highest attendance during this World Cup was made at this match (almost a full house)… great atmosphere, great cricket, extremely tense finish, Duncan Fletcher’s last match, and last - but definitely not least - Lara’s last match (the main reason for the high attendance). Although it wasn’t a “Lara show,” but the crowd was deservingly treated to a great match - and Lara’s purpose of entertaining the crowd was also satisfied.
oh yes sri lanka vs. england was also a very interesting match, tense finish once again. but in terms of cricket i think england vs. windies was better.

as a neutral, must have been a great site Ireland beating Pakistan, the last 5 overs were excellent, Ireland coasting then Rao Ifthiqar on a hatrick then Ireland barely coasting home.

Hey, why didn’t anyone mention India vs. Bangladesh? India were outclassed by a group of teenagers during that match and did anyone see Tamim Iqbal’s strokes. It looked like he had been training the ball . Yes, Ireland vs. Pakistan was another such match where some nooby gora Associate beat out the No. 4 ODI team… awesome catch by Trent Johnston to dismiss Kamran Akmal though.
People, people, people, only one vote? This last-ball thriller kicked off the World Cup, although not to a most thrilling start, but it got people talking. Boy, what a match and comedic run-outs at the end. Two unknown teams beating the strawberries out of each other. Highly entertaining.
