Hi girls! I need some recommendations for a really good mascara. I’m not worried about the price so I don’t mind whether it’s high end or drugstore makeup. I want a mascara which is REALLY DARK BLACK and gives a lot of volume. At the moment i’m using MAC Opulash and it’s good but not really getting the WOW factor.
Any recommendations would be helpful.

One mascara I cant seem to let go of is Loreal's Voluminous. Ive tried SOOOOOOOOOOOo many brands - some even double or triple the price of this one but this is by far the best for me.
When paired with different mascaras...you can get differing results. The trick is how you apply your coats and do you apply multiple coats.
Hypnose and Voluminous will give you THICKKK lashes
Definicils and Voluminous will give you LONNNNGG lashes
Sephora's own mascara paired with Voluminous also has a very nice affect
On their own, a lot of these department store brands dont seem to impress me too much though.

sometimes the best effect I've had is wheN I put primer on my lashes followed by pretty much any mascara.

I've used two mascara's since forever as well. Best way to get the look one is after imo.

High end - YSL Faux Cils mascara. Absolutely love it!
Drugstore - L'oreal volumious or Max factor false lash effect.

Max Factor Masterpiece Max = Best. Mascara. Ever.
Generally speaking any of the Max Factor mascaras are really good. At the moment I'm using Lancome Hypnose which is good but can be a bit clumpy.

I am loving tubing mascaras!! they don't smudge or flake! I am using the one by loreal these days called double extend. reallly awesome. would never go back to a regular mascara!

Diorshow Blackout is brilliant..
Cheaper good alternatives are Maybelline Volume Express and l'Oreal Voluminous..
A lot of ppl prefer YSL Faux Cils to Diorshow but I find the smell a bit funny and much prefer the thicker consistency of the Diorshow (YSL feels slicker) and the big fat brush for loadsss of volume..

I really liked YSL faux clis, you're right about the slick consistency. I really dislike thick mascara's though.

Apparently YSL and Dior are the best ones around, I have yet to try them though! :)
Oh and buy two different ones, any two, and use them together, it makes a HUGE difference!

I have tried so many mascara's over the years and by far the best for me has to be Rimmel Volume Flash Mascara! Love it! It gives instant super volume and people always think I am wearing false eyelashes!

Dior counters sometimes give out free samples if u ask nicely.. Go and try your luck, it's a great mascara + even the mini size can last you a while :)

Prescriptives motor eyes is my favorite, the vibrator part is blah but the mascara itself is very good. But I think they have discontinued it in the UK, urgh bane of my life!

I love L'oreal Voluminous mascara, i've been wearing it since highschool, and seriously no other high end mascara compares....the only downside of it I would say is that it takes a bit long to dry, so you have to keep your eyes closed for a bit or it gets everywhere...but disregarding that I still love it and wear it everyday...
I bought Diorshow Blackout last week due to the high raves about it, and I didn't like it at all! yeah its really dark but once I put it on my eyelashes, they got a bit clumpy and sticky...
I also bought Buxom lash by bare escentuals, and love it!!! its a really nice mascara, but it was like 20 bucks...I mashallah se have long and curly lashes so any mascara pretty much does the trick for me....but I highly recommend Buxom lash!
