It is so easy to make yummy daal. Last week my wife was gone to a wedding and I felt like have some daal chawal. I boiled daal to the point where it was cooked fully then I fried Shaan qorma masala for a few minutes in a little oil , then I mixed daal to it . It turned out to be a sensation for me a my two boys who were home with me.
Yes I fried some onion but no garlic. I had made garlic key chutney in advance.
My stance is this you can use daal instead of meat for any shaan masala packet , it will turn out good. Use as less oil as you can and follow the directions on the packet just substitue precooked daal for meat.
Rice was for kids , I immersed my whole wheat roti in daal and ate it. Yum yum. finger licking good.
Yes spocky :halo:
GI - glycaemic index
Low GI foods release energy slowly over a longer period of time, thus you feel less hungry and don’t have sugar highs and lows
your bread should be brown, high fibre, low gi, with seeds. Bit hard to swallow, but I find if you toast it lightly and top it with mashed avo, lemon juice and pementos and dhania it’s just
and you eventually get used to it.
i’ve eaten brown bread my whole life. we only bring white for my dad, but i’ve almost converted him now.
