what is your best kulfi recipe EVER and what do you add to garnish?

My mother used to be a purist - nothing but authentic recipes, and for kulfi, she would make it from scratch with the au'tha huwa doodh. Then she realized that some shortcuts are well worth it! I don't have the recipe handy (which reminds me, I need to get like a dozen recipes from her) - but there is one made from whipping cream, evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk which is pretty darn yummy! I'm pretty sure she added kewra and of course topped it with pistachios. I'm just not sure how much sugar she added.

That's exactly the recipe that I have already! The one with whip cream and Nestle's canned cream, evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk.
It's super easy and no fuss.
I was wondering if there was another that someone might be using....

I'd have to ask Mama for her asli kulfi ki recipe. The one made with whole/homogenized milk. Let me see what I can get from her.

My mum made Mango Kulfi, these are the items she added

Here is the recipe

1 Can Mango Pulp - 850 grams
1 Can Evaporated Milk - 410 grams
1 Can Condensed Milk - 397 grams
1 Carton Extra Thick Double Cream - 600ml

1-In a container/bowl add the mago pulp and next add the evaporated milk
2-Next add condensed milk
3- Next add thick double cream
4- Mix well till fully combined
5- Place in ice lolly mould or pour in disposable glasses
6- Use up all the mixture, filling up your moulds and line in a flat tray
7- Cut kitchen foil into squares pieces, large enough to cover the glasses
8- Cover the glasses with the foil pieces, and secure all around
9- Place the tray in the freezer for 6-8 hours - overnight works best
10-Remove mould from freezer and stand in a glass of water, the kulfi on the stick will easily slide out.
11- Remove foil, stand glass in tap water and place upside down on a plate. Kulfi will slide out, sprinkle with nuts and serve immediately.

I meant the mango kulfi , I had mango lassi yesterday since then it has been on my mind.

And you cannot freeze lassi anyway :hehe:

I was just about to share a few recipes. While Lassi stopped what's his name, the all-cap EVER in the title did it for me. Can't decide if any of the recipes are the best EVER.

I make exact same way, except i add in 1-2 slices of bread . I prefer that consistency versus one without bread.
