Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

kashmiri cuisine in birmingham??? you sure??? I havn't seen any kashmiri restaurants in birmingham, theyre all mirpuri who serve the same punjabi food as other pakistani places but just label it 'kashmiri cuisine' :/

If there are REAL kashmiri cuisine restaurants in birmingham, would be nice if you could tel us where. :)

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

Which part of Mirpur has "Lahore"

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

Someone posted a link for Benares...i went there last month. Although its expensive, the food is excellent and atmosphere is amazing. The food is prepared by Atol who has won a michelin(sp) star.

Another really really fantastic restaurant is Cafe Lazeez. They have a branch in Soho. They have one in South Kensington but undergoing refurbishment.

These 2 are not your typical desi restaurant but modern and classy where you might have to make an effort to dress up esp with benares! You wont regret it! Food is delicious!

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

If I was in London, you would have not find anything better than 418 Garratt Lane, SW18 4HW's desi food - that was my place of living and my kitchen!

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

trust me rasoi is better than benares.

We went to Bundo Khan i East Aldgate this week when we were in london and we felt like we have become Budhu...it was disgusting food! But the service was quick!

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

the best one in the east end is Tayyabs, nearest tube station is whitechapel. go there very often with uni mates. if you do go there try their mango lassi

but be advised to book ahead. if you dont you will be queuing there for about 2- 3 hours, seriously. when u call, speak urdu, they for some reason, tend to give u room more quickly, lol.

what abt MumtazLondon??? www.mumtazlondon.co.uk

has ne1 tried their food?? I just heard their ad couple of days ago…

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

Tayaabs :k:

Khans is a no no!

ok its seems like Tayaabs is a good restaurant, will try it next time inshallah.

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

Zayna on Quebec Street, West London is pretty nice with Pakistani cuisine.

Also, Tamarind in Mayfair have some really nice Peshwari lamb chops.

Khan's is a no, Tayyabs is ok.... it's a safe bet.

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

try not to go tayyabs on a friday or weekends, its super packed.

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

Try Lahori 2 that's a really good restaurant on Commercial Road, Whitechapel. If you go to Tooting in South West London try Dawats or Spice Village, both of these are very good. Dawat is very reasonable. In West London (Southall to be exact) go to Gifto or Mirch Masala, both very good food.

Mirchmasala da best if you can get a place! The place is full every minute it is open.

does it have to be london, i dont know any, but when were talking mcr, forget just a cuisine, weve got wimslow road, full of very good cuisines/restaurants. i have to say NAWAAB restaurant is very good, in longsight :D

Yes you are right.

But I can cook far better than them at home!!!

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

I went to Lahore Karahi in southall :yukh:

All the best asian cuisine is up north…come to Yorkshire Bradford :dhimpak:

Re: Best indian/pakistani restaurants in London?

Try mine in the south!
