Best film characters of all time ?

What’s the most memorable film charcters you’ve seen in your time?

I’d say Robert De niro as Max Cady in Cape Fear, The guy who played the panicky cry baby in Aliens 2, Steve Martin as the two bit film producer in that film with Eddie Murphy (can’t think of the name right now), and for desi films, Amjad Khan in Sholay.

Any more come to mind?

There should be some females on this list somewhere, but blow me if I can think of any right now.

Oh yeah, the little kid who played the role of a robot in AI. That was really some performance for a youngster.

Amitabh Amitabh Amitabh

err...I'm not asking about best film actors, I'm asking about best film roles. So you need to pick a particular character which you think he played well in a particular film.

Another one which comes to mind is Billy Zane as his role as a nutter in Dead Calm.

I liked Nicholas and whats his name Mota Travolta in Face Off. When they switched they took up the others personality in the movie.

Ps. Amitabh in all his roles. :--p

Tyler Durden played by Brad Pitt in the Fight Club.

I dont remember the name but The Nazi turn liberal guy played by Edward Norton in American History X.

Bud white played by Russell Crowe in LA confidential.

Darth Vader played by James Earl Jones in the star wars series.

Well Amitabh plays the same role in every movie so I guess you could take your pick.

You have the right to remain silent

Don Juan,

Steve Martin is a genius and his role in Bowfinger was one the most memorable ever. Have you ever seen another film like that one or a more unique character? I doubt it. I agree about Joe Pesci in Goodfellas btw. I was thinking about that myself.

KAKA-ATOM-BUM

Eli Wallach as Tuco in ‘The good, bad and the ugly’

great pick

Lee van Cleef was pretty memorable as well in that film.

Steve Martin sure is a genius, but I would pick him for his character Vinnie in My Blue Heaven, or long nose Charlie Bates in Roxanne before Bowfinger even crosses my mind.
Fine I’ll give you Steve Martin, but Billy Zane in Dead Calm?!!! no comments!
