Re: clutch bags

Re: clutch bags
i think this is an example of cultural intolerance (no offense sgc). I know it is annoying for us not used to it, but pakistani text/internet writing form has a culture of its own including a different grammatical breakdown (which is no less "wrong") than ours.

Yaar, kuch logon ka keyboard is either kharab or missing some letters
And PF, there’s nothing ‘cultural intolerance’ about this, it’s not just limited to pakistan, people do it everywhere. You don’t learn to spell THIS as DIS in school then why trash perfectly good words.
Re: clutch bags
^I agree..you don't learn to spell like that..but whatever..she's not the only one who does it..doesn't bother me..as long as i can read it.
Re: clutch bags
of course no one learns to spell like this in school. the point is that it becomes a vernacular culture on it’s own. I know very well read pakistanis who when using the internet/texts use the same abbreviations. it does not mean that their grammar is wrong or right it exists un a subculture of its own

fair enough, i'll stop commenting on it as it derails threads - and you're right, it is a subculture on its own, but that doesn't make those posts any less annoying and/or juvenile to read in an otherwise enjoyable environment. but i'm a big girl, i'll deal with it and skip over those posts/threads :)
