..Who is planning to go? Doors open at 5:00am.
Re: Best Buy Door-Buster Sale
I am not....used to work there and know what a pain it is even if you can get your hands on the products you need. Takes a good 2 - 3 hours to check out. Not worth the hassle, unless you absolutely need something that's in the ad.

^My laptop is totally trashed. I have to get my hands on one tomorrow, this seems like a perfect opportunity. Don’t kill my enthusiasm.. ![]()

Re: Best Buy Door-Buster Sale
There are professional BF (Black Friday) shoppers. This guy I know goes there at 10:30 pm, the night before, with a sleeping bag, coffee thermos and video games. He goes with a few friends for company as well. He tells me that by 3 am, BB (Best Buy) employees start arriving. The line by that time is a few hundred people. He is usually in the front 10-15 people. BB also offers coffee and donuts to the long line waiting. Then BB employees ask the first 40 or so customers in the line if they know what they want to buy. Most people have the brochure in hand and have already marked their selection. BB employees then provide vouchers of those particular items to the first 40 customers, so they are guaranteed those items (No "out of stock" for them). After getting the vouchers, you can actually go home and come back later (same day) to pick the actual item.
The other thing is, that mostly the items on the sale are not the ones you really really want for yourself. Most lack some features you are looking for or whatever. What this guy does is to sell everything he buys on BF on eBay. Makes a tidy profit every year.
This year, BB had an HP Celeron laptop with 60GB Hard disk, DVD-ROM and CD RW for $378.
