I know there are so many threads on this but seriously i need to know WHICH remedy is the BEST OF ALL, and which actually WORKS ( wonderfully!) i know we brown ppl can lighten our skin by the special care ( Its not impossible at all, iv seen girls getting almost 4-5shades lighter than their actually skin tone!!!)
please do help and lemme know some as im getting married in 2-3months time and I HAVE TO BECOME ABIT GORI!!!

first of all make a habbit of basic care.
mean every night do clensing , tooning and apply good moisturizing cream.
then if u go out a lot or skin condition is not good the twice a week do cleanisng , scrubbing and apply a good mask.
through this u may not be feel farier but i gurentee u face will look fresh all time.
water in take, use of salad specailly eat 3-4tomatoes daily. eat fruits, and juices. and sleep well. see diffrence.
ur product should be good and perfectly suits ur skin. i don't know abut ur ksin type but my 2 cousin use the garnier product for this. and in a month i really feel diffrence in them.
one more thing mostlt girls apply foudation light one like mineral powder and give effect of good skin. u may be know that. but my experience say, for this ur skin should be clean and clear and fresh.

but i really agree girls r doing many much on the skin for good result. but for quick fairer, i will say say one never use cream like 5 mix cream as many poeple use it and ruin their skin. use that product that gives u steady result. but no harm so be patience.

There's a Gatineau mask for instant brightening/lightening, I can't remember what it's called but u could try that.. and it won't mess up ur skin or anything..

You don't "have" to become gori. I think clear and even-toned skin looks beautiful even if it's not doodh jaisa chitta. And the best advantage that darker skin has is that it ages MUCH better than fairer skin. It still puzzles me. You'd think that, considering how youth-obsessed society has become with it's botox procedures, that darker skin would be more valued because of this natural benefit. Fair does not necessarily equal beautiful.
Anyhow.....you can try an exfoliating face wash....one that contains glycolic acid......as that will exfoliate your skin....and allow for other products that you use on your skin to be better absorbed. And you can apply creams that contain bleaching agents such as hydroquinone, alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), kojic acid, licorice, azelaic acid, vitamin C, etc. You can ask your dermatologist to prescribe products containing these ingredients....perhaps at a percentage that would yield faster results. The acids found in natural ingredients such as lemon and yogurt can also help lighten skin.....though it takes longer.
***Keep in mind that ligtening creams/procedures make your skin more sensitive to the sun.....and if you don't apply sunblock or suncreen while you're out in the sun......you can risk getting dark patches on your skin...known as hyperpigmentation.
***Products will only go so far in helping you. Eating a healthy diet, staying well-hydrated, getting sufficient sleep, reducing stress, and exercise also play a role in the health and appearance of your skin.
*** Try to get facials regularly and maybe look into microdermabrasion.

buy loads of hydroquinone creams. apply every night. use vit C n sunscreen in day. add water, fruits, iron n vit C to ur diet. exercise daily. all these together will giv u good results in 3 months. otherwise there's no quick formula. once u start seeing results u need to maintain or u'll go back to ur original shade.

sigh, im getting married in a month, and ive only used honey+ lemon mixtures on my face as yet and basin sometimes. am i stupid to want only clear glowing skin as opposed to gori skin on my wedding and after? every time i see a thread like this, i feel really stupid and mad too:|

Anything that promises to make you ‘gori’ will eventually make u’re skin look dull and lifeless later-on. HQ and bleaching creams are only supposed to be used on pigmented area’s. Work-on improving the quality of u’re skin.. and as far as wanting to look ‘gora’ just for the wedding day.. you’re makeup artist can use 20-30 shades lighter too

I really don't believe in those gorifying creams, just stay out of sun and eat healthy. You will notice the glow and fair complexion within days.

Everyone has pretty much said what I was thinking...RV said it best and so did Gina.
Fairness creams will only give you temporary satisfaction but the price you pay for that is too high in my opinion. The health of your skin suffers and in the long run your face turns even duller and gray looking.
If you really want to glow on your wedding day...go for regular facials...eat hair/skin/nail vitamins...use sunscreen regularly and invest in a good skin care regimen!
I know this is not the answer some girls are looking for and a recipe for GORI CHITTI SKIN IN TWO DAYS is what will make you all really happy.
The only way to do that is to put some bleach on your face and scrub like you're scrubbing dirty socks. <---Im joking by the way.

Nothing can really turn a sanwali skin into gori one BUT i think just taking good care of your skin, no matter wat color it is, make it glow which wl eventually make the skin and you look better. So just eat rite, cleanse-tone-moisturize-exfoliate and sleep right. It does affect the skin alot and within a week you can tell the difference.

if you lighten your skin on face, will it not look odd in comparison to the rest of your body? i would rather work on getting a fresh and even toned complexion than a light/fair complexion...

^Weird as it sounds, I think the people who do it don't really care..
