Really!
Steve and Mark were seperated by birth. Mark was raised in a Pakistani household, with Steve in Australia.
Like it was noted when Mark retired, he could get a place on any other team, except Australia.
My pick for Pakistani Batsman is Inzimam-ul-Haq (if you exclude his running, which is a important part of a batsman).
I'm suprised none of you guys mentioned Salim Malik. Though he doesn't deserve it.
Salim Malik was more like Shahid Afridi, he had the ability to destroy any bowling on his day, he was superb in the early 90s but he couldn't follow through. Though he is one of my favirote batsman and he derserves to be in that lists.

You're asking and answering your own question.
True.. but there must be some Salim lovers here.
Maybe Aamir Sohail could fit in this topic too, as a nominee.

Yep, but still SAEED ANWAR will be on top.
Salim Maliks prime was the 80s actually. He was a great batsman, but for the 90s, I would have to say Inzimam, a man who won us so many matches with his ferocious batting. I watched his first century against Sri Lanka in 1991 at Pindi (the first ODI at the new Pindi stadium) and I always knew in my heart he will be a special asset for Pakistan, and he proved that in the 92 World Cup with his explosive batting.
