In current for, none of the Pakistanis deserve to be in the list. Saeed may have scored a century but he is not the best at this moment, he was couple years ago.

I personally believe, if you talk about best ODI batsmen Michael Bevan's name have to be in the list. The guy is a master of rotating strike and frustrating the bowlers. He crafts out his innings to perfection. Though he bats very low down the order, its always nice to have someone like Bevan to depend on. When the going gets tough for Aussies Bevan gets going. Certianly one of the best ODI batsmen not just right now but probably of all time. He might be an ordinary test player but has very healthy average of 50 plus in ODI's. That is HUGE achievement.
