What is up with the new variety here? What happened to good old NAV and McAfee? 
Btw… this thread’s 1.5 years old. I’m sure Funguy must’ve gotten an anti-virus software by now.

These software are better known as spyware now… You can only hate them with passion now … all they do is hog the system and give stupid errors… they ain’t very friendly when u uninstall them … Nod32 and Kaspersky are by far the best of all AV products… and Kerio gets my vote for personal firewall

We use McAfee at work and at home (corporate license). It hogs up resources on my slower machine but on faster machine it is barely noticeable. Works fine for me.

Try Nod32 for once at ur slower machine...u'll never go back. Trust me

I reckon I installed Nod32, but had to uninstall it eventually, as it screwed up my machine.

You mean BIG old.
Uninstallation is a total nightmare. They leave so much crap on your computer, complete removal is often only possible by doing a fresh windows install.

if kaspersky did not slow down the computer too much i’d recommend it, but NOD32 is by far the best…
norton and mcafee r definite losers…
they hardly ever detect a serious threat…
and the 2007 variety of norton is the worst norton has ever come up with…
