Here is another controversial issue.
WHO IS THE BEST ALL ROUNDER THE CRICKET WORLD AHS EVEN SEE!!!
Now if you start looking you will have many potential candidates and all of them had lots of good qualities and few bad one.
Few front runners could be
Botham
Sobers
Imran
Kapil
Hadlee
Let us see how u guys think? whome do u think was the best and why???
remember when u r looking for an allrounder u dont only need to look at his battinag dna bowling records but there r many other aspects like leadership quality, fielding, temprament, utility in different situations etc etc
please feel free to AD any other name whome u think was the greatest all rounder of all
Kapil Dev (Batting 3 Bowling 5 Fielding 1 Leadership 2)
Ian Botham (Batting 2 Bowling 4 Fielding 5 Leadership 4)
Richard Hadlee (Batting 5 Bowling 1 Fielding 4 Leadership 5)
I hate to put all these great players any order because they were all great and did excellent job for their countries.
Botham was a very good batsman, So was Kapil, In the later part of his Career Imran was as good as them, but None came close to Sir Gary Sobers. In Bowling Sir Hadlee was great, So was Imran Khan but still my no. 1 bowler spot goes to the former because of his avg. In fielding abilities & fitness, Kapil was better than all of them, Sir gary comes a close second though. In leadership skills Imran stands out and Kapil comes a distant second. Imran's leadership as well as his amazing ability to spot and groom talents makes him no. 1 in this category. Kapil's leadership(& leading by example) especially when India won the world Cup makes him a distant second to Imran.
Never seen sobers or hadlee play.
out of the other 3, i would have to go with imran, better batsman than the other 2, certainly a better leader.
not racist, that rules out botham.
all in all, Imran is a better allrounder.
as richie benaud says in the EA-sports Cricket 97, “I always thought Sir Gary SObers was the best all-rounder I ever saw, but this chap is pretty good too”…
take it as my comment for Imran Khan…
Sobers remains #1 so far…
maybe some day A.Rzaaq or Kallis can outdo Imran and Sobers…
who knows
