Best airline while traveling with a baby

Hi,

My wife and 3 months old son will soon be coming to join me in England. What airline would you recommend considering the comfort of the infant and the mother ofcourse : )

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

British airways but it depends how much you want to spend because business class is really good for every airline.

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

thanks. But I don't think British Airways has resumed its flights from Pakistan and they'l be traveling in economy class.

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

I liked Emirates. Did not like PIA at allthough a lot of people do. Northwest/ KLM is good too.

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

Emirates or Etihad...u've limited choice out of Pakistan as no western airlines, to the best of my knowledge, serves Pakistan. Fly Business Class on Emirates, its deffo world class! :)

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

I wont recommned Etihad. Their airhostess are very insensitive. Try Qatar Airways or PIA.

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

Emirates, we love it!
I've heard Qatar is good too..

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

Thank you all. I have personally traveled with Qatar, Emirates, PIA and AirBlue. I found Qatar really good. Emirates was good too and PIA wasn't that bad. But I am not sure which of these airlines provide Bassinettes for babies, if any?

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

^^ All of them should but you have to tell them ahead of time so they give you front seat to put bassinett in front of you. Very important. You don't want someone else sitting in the front seat and your wife requesting them to with her seat.

Btw qatar and emirates, i'd go with emirates. More space between seats. I don't think there is much of a price difference. I travelled with Emirates with my nephew, they were very nice. Getting me warm water for his milk, toys to keep him engaged etc.

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

oh yes one advisory note...considering what's going on in the middle east these days, avoid an airline which has it's hub in Bahrain or that involves aircraft change in one of the hot spots. you never know what the situation would be, specially on your way back.

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

emirates are the best with kids...
priority boarding for families with small children, they offer free strollers to use at their airport which are available from plane to plane so you can enjoy the stop over in more comfort...
and please book the bulkhead seat as that is the only one which offers bassinets
at the time of booking request all the facilities for your child, baby bassinet ,food etc so when your wife checks in she can say she has asked for these things, and if they check, they still have time to adjust her seat if an error has occurred...
Ive travelled with many airlines to and from England have found Emirates and Klm to be the most child friendly....
although you will find not many airlines are giving freebies or excellent service these days...
if mum is calm baby will be calm during travel....good luck...

Re: Best airline while traveling with a baby

Assuming your family is flying out from Pakistan, Emirates is definitely the best airlines and surely BA is not flying to ISB any more after Marriot attack in sep-2009. However, keeping in mind that you got a 3 months old kid, avoid an airlines that will involve transit and best suited for you would be PIA.
