i luv karhi. i had it one time and someone had cooked it with meat in it...that was freaky...i like karhi with just karhi..do you have a tried recipe for it? :)
arright…simplest is dahi bharray. mix it with some water so you have like a paste. add a pinch of laal mirchain and some salt. and some baking soda. then fry em like pakoras. when they are golden brown soak em in some warm water, until they are nice and soggy. meanwhile whip up whatever you like to add in your dahi to make the rest of the dahi bhara masala (chat masala, aloo, tamatar, namak mirch) and plop your bharas in. tadaa!
i only know bits of how to make the rest of the things you mentioned. i do know a lot of stirring is required for besan ki mithai but it’s worth it. yum yum!
hmm dahi baray…i should give it a shot! but i just don’t like the frying part..do people make dahi baray with sweetened yogurt or are they supposed to be namak mirchi?

shallow fry em. i think the soaking might take some of oil out. don't ask how that works :D i make mine with normal yogurt. not sweetened. for that you can add meethi chatni
Just make a paste of besan with honey and add a lil bit of lemon juice then apply to your face till it dries. It's a great mask for your skin.
i just make a paste with water in it and use it an exfoliant. you can use the paste shay suggested as an exfoliant as well. or u can add milk instead of water.

i remember the last time i had dahi baray...i could literally taste the besan in it..and it had the besan smell too...so i'm kinda hesitant to try making 'em..although i love the plain ol' sweet imli chatni!!
you use besan on your face too? why is it that i'm learning just now that besan works as an exfoliant? does it work really well..?
you can use besan on your skin in sooo many ways:
1. besan + white vinegar = smoothness and vibrant
2. besan + yogurt = really nice coolant for the skin
3. besan + yogurt + brown sugar = smoothes and lightens skin
