Re: benzylperoxide
I think you should consult a dermatologist before applying any of this stuff to your face. He/she will tell you the right way and amount to use.
Re: benzylperoxide
This is a very effective method to clear your pores from bacteria and heal your breakouts. It worked wonders for me!!! HOWEVER, many ppl are unaware that they are allergic to this ingredient. You should do a small patch test first or, the best thing to do is contact your doc and consult with him if you can use.
There are many over the counter benzoyl peroxide creams you can use. I would highly recommnend you use a low dose one. One that has 2.5% or less. Neutrogena is a good example. I love this! I found the Clean and Clear and Clearasil ones to be wayy too strong cuz they have 10%. When you start using it, try to apply it once a day for 1-2 weeks and then gradually build it to applying 1-2 times a day.
Re: benzylperoxide
anjana is it for break outs or for pimple marks i m looking something for pimples left over marks and spots
Re: benzylperoxide
it is predominantly for break outs/fresh pimples as it helps dry them up and kill the bacteria. Although, it is also great for the marks as it dries and helps exfoliate the skin to reveal new skin below. For me, i used it 2 times a day (morning and night) for approx 3-6 months and it totally erased my pimple daags, nashaans. i had mostly scars leftover from cystic acne and really BIG nasty pimples. i hope it works for you as well! i would recommend buying the neutrogena ''on the spot'' kind. small tube, orange label.
Re: benzylperoxide
thnx anjana i will try it definately actually i have tried everything for pimples marks they are quite pinkish..pink pink spots but i cant rid of them yet so when a famous dematalogist said on tv i feel like tryiing this..he said use this with moisturing milk do u use neat cream or with some other lotion and tell me u only use cream on spots or all over face?
Re: benzylperoxide
6 months hmm...but in 2 ,3 months did u see any diference?
and any side effects...i m not talking about allergy but anyother like when u stop using cream marks r back etc
Re: benzylperoxide
first off, your lucky your pimple marks are a pink shade. mine were dark reddish/purplish. i had veryyyy dark nashaan all over my face. it was a bad time in my life. phewwwww....
anyways, personally, i used to use it all over my face, a thin layer. unfortunetely, i had so many marks that it was hard to apply the cream spot by spot, u know?
i used to use this alone with a gentle fragrance free moisturizer and a very veryyyy gentle facial cleanser. Cetaphil is a good line. i used their face lotion and face wash.
Re: benzylperoxide
hi guys just a question
could u name some creams with benzylperoxide?
Re: benzylperoxide
Hey i had acne a few weeks back really YUCK. T guess the bacteria was spreading all around the cheeks and face. So i bought PANOXYL soap bar and face wash. it contains 10% banzoyl paroxide, available over the counter. It really did work. The acne is all gone AH. Im still using it cause the scars are starting to fade away as well. It does leave the skin dry, but use a good moisturiser afterwards. p.s when you start using it start with once a day and then graudally increase to 2-3 times a day.
Re: benzylperoxide
Benzoyl peroxide and salicyclic acid are great for acne. But too much can cause dryness and irritation of th skin.

Neutrogena On the Spot (2.5%)
Clearasil has one (10%)
Clean and Clear also has one (10%)
Panoxyl has BP .. but make sure u get the 5% BP since its as effective as 10% but less irritating. I have used it previously.. but these chemicals are too harsh on skin so now i'm finding natural ways to cure acne..
Re: benzylperoxide
oh ok i think 10% is too much one shoudl starts with 2.5%.....
thanks anjana ill try it very soon :)
Re: benzylperoxide
I used benzoyl peroxide for minor acne on my face and it really worked. You should ask your doctor to prescribe it for you, it is much better than sacylic acid and other creams.
