tabu is bengali because her aunt is Shabana azmi!!! and saif ali khan's mom(sharmila) is bengali and his dad was pakistani..thats why their kids have muslim names!! go search it on the net!

Gayatri Joshi and Tanuja are Marathi speaking... not Bengali. Tanuja did marry a Bengali man and her daughters are Kajol and Tanisha. However they speak Marathi.
Shabana Azmi is from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.... not Bengal. Tabu is from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
Said Ali Khan's father is Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi from Punjab/Haryana. His mother Sharmila Tagore is Bengali.

Kashmira Shah's father is Gujrati and mother is Marathi speaking. She is not Bengali.

my aunt is married to a punjabi, does that make her punjabi?? no, so it figures that tabu is not bengali. from what i heard, she's from hyderabad city(andhra pradesh state,india)
saif ali is bengali cos his mother sharmila tagore is bengali. however, saifs father is nawab of pataudi, which was a princely state in haryana.
so saif is half haryanvi and half bengali.however, on google searches, i didnt find the pakistani connection. the muslim names are because of their religion not because of nationality, silly.
Is kaif or zaheer khan pakistani just cos their names are muslim??
