bend it like bekham

sweet movie! sikh people might feel a bit dissed but im guessing whats been depicted is not very different from life in uk. kinda similar to east is east.

loved the soundtrack.. been keepin my kazaa on its toes. uk bhangra seems to be growing on me day by day.

i’d say a pretty realistic ending. except for the fact that jess leaves the shadi while everyone is singing and dancing, plays in the final and makes it back and everyone at the shadi is still singing and dancing. hmm dont thet get tired? :hoonh: and oh i’d like to know what college in the usa gives full scholarship for playing soccer?

so far none of the desi-western fusion movies have failed to perform. why is it that we like these movies? is it the fact that we can relate to them? kher, do watch it if you can.

ummm,i havent seen it yet… :hehe: has curosity killed u yet, chegum? :hehe:

Seen east is east, that was great :k:

Brought this (bend it like beckham) while i was in Pak (for like 1 pound might i add :p), been meaning to see it, i’ve only heard good reviews about it :k:.

hehe.. nice movie  liked it.. i liked monsoon wedding as well :k::k:

so did i, before i saw it. but i liked it. its a bit less comic than the other amreeki-desi flicks. but its still good. the chick is hot, the storyline aint that bad and neither is the acting. what else do you want in a movie? :p

out of all these movies...American Desi was the best...
Bend it like Bekham was good..but the accent was kinda hard to understand, although i manged...hmm yeah chegum good point, but after all it had to had some indian touches..hehe..
ABCD was ok..but it was dumb...

Which one, Gori or desi ? :)

where can I get hold of a copy of American Desi? I live in the Uk but don't mind buying online.

ps) sorry to go off on a tangent in your thread Cheegum

I really enjoyed Bend it like Becham...the acting and storyline in my opinion held ground very well....
