I watched it at Stars, but it was'nt soo big, I watched it the day it came out and the place was empty, no one here knows who Beckham is.
it was a OK movie, but not worth my $6, and those guys in the movie, those fools, they just made me hate the brit accent even more.
Bend it like Beckham is a sleeper hit in US. Like "Greek Wedding" it has become a hit, though an independent film with limited release.

It has a lot of British humour which is why a lot of North American desis probably won't be able to fully appreciate this movie. I loved it. Can't wait till it is out on DVD so I can get my own personal copy. :)

Well it has made 11 million so far and is in top 10 movies for this weekend.

This is the highest grossing movie with an Indian theme. It has grossed around 32 million in US. Monsoon Wedding grossed around 15 million. Looks like there will be more such movies .
