Bend it like Beckham is releasing all over US on March 12, 2003. I would definitely recommend this movie. Watched it on KLM flight.
It was a hit in UK, let’s see now Americans take it..

Yeah same here It was a good movie. It touches subjects like homosexuality, interracial marriages, and the fact that women can do anything.
now where did homosexuality come from....there was no sign of that in the movie...
I would'nt recommend it to n e one, it's a waste of time and money.

Instead they chose the name of a female US soccer player (I can't remember her name).

That is not true. I have seen movie posters in american theaters, and they all say "Bend it like Beckham".
I think they are re-naming it to Bend it like Bush.
Mind if you ever heard Beckham talk you'd understand the reference to bending

It was an okay film although I can't see it being as much of a hit in the US as it was in England.
