This is not sham scheme. Read the news, why do you think it is a shame scheme because the scheme is under the name of BB? Change the name if you feel so much pain. But let the program continued to help poor people all over Pakistan.

These schemes do not work in the long run. It is like food stamp program in the US. Such schemes create lazy beggars who live off government-funding and tax-payers money.
Such schemes make a government look good in the eyes of those receiving money but actually they hurt the country's economy in the long run.
If our government is really interested in helping people out then it should stop the billions of rupees in corruption which go in the pockets of government's own ministers. Like I said earlier, government takes away a lot from people and then returns a fraction of that money to some of them in order to get cheap votes.

What will happen if we give money to a poor man? Sure, it will help him in the short run, but after a while he will get used to it. He will start considering that money his right. He will become lazy and will stop looking for work altogether.
The help which will benefit him in the long run is to give him a job. Then he will make his own money and he won't be dependent on anyone.
Sure BBIS scheme will provide people immediate relief. So it may continue, and government can churn some votes out of it. But if government really wants to help people then it should also provide them education and establish industries so that people may find work using their education.
Problem is that PPP government did not do the second part. It wants to continue distributing money without doing anything to ensure that people won't need that money in the first place.

From whose house 1/2 million pounds and millions worth of jewelery found, collected from bhatta, extortion robberies, kidnapping in Karachi?
