Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
But the govt corruption is not even close to being as bad as previous governments. Independent external entities have confirmed that. read reports from economist, world bank and IMF etc etc.
you kidding me? your excuses are only fooling yourself
Read the Transperancy International report, showing that the majority of Pakistani's believe this govt to be more corrupt than BB or NS.
And before you post anything else, directly read the whole report that explains it, don't post any govt propaganda or govt agent article.
And if you don't want to do that, go live in Pakistan, where you will see for yourself, instead of relying on what some uncle says.
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan’s future
dude your dellusions are really getting to you. thread after thread I have addressed your point of the transparency international report.
since you miss it each time, here you go yet again
http://www.transparency.org.pk/media/NCPS/Clarification%20NCPS.JPG
If you are so keen on reading the transparency international report, how come you missed their clarification on the subject? or do you intentionally disregard it because it kills your argument? its no govt propoganda or govta gent article, its transparency international’s own clarification. That #2 ranking of corruption of prior govt is also not govt propoganda and govt agent article but from an indpendent non pakistani entity.
and as far as the statements by the gov of state bank, if you dont believe that , read up World bank and economost reports, they have no reason to tell and lies.
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan’s future
aik toh logon ko basic math naheen ata yahan par…
the report had two questions.
question one said.
which govt was more corrupt BB1, BB2, NS1, NS2
answers were
nawaz 96-99 - 34% thought this regime was most corrupt
BB 93-96 - 48% thought this redime was most corrupt
nawaz 90-93 - 10% thought this regime was most corrupt
BB 88-90 - 8% thought this regime was most corrupt
so of the 100% answers, 48% noted that BB 93-96 was the most corrupt govt of the 4 being compared.
Now, the second question was, between the 2 terms of the current govt, which term is more corrupt the first one or the second term as compared to each other.
people rating musharraf’s 1st term as being more corrupt that the second term 32.69%
people rating musharraf’s 2nd term as being more corrupt than the first term 67.31%
Then the report notes comparison between musharraf and othe regimes..
**48.7 thought govt of benazir was most corrupt
43.3 thought govt of Nawaz was most corrupt
3.17 thought govt of musharaf was most corrupt
So president Musharrafs govt is the least corrupt, as a matter of fact benazir was 15 times more corrupt and nawaz was almost 14 times more corrupt.**

Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
benazir is the biggest ^&*%$ on the planet. I hate that woman. How she raped Pakistan and left it hollow.

lol I already posted that link a few times but apparently Mr TRD does not click on anything that projects his PPP in a negative way lol... And then he comes up with a lame excuse everytime, saying how we are all living abroad and we know nothing, bus aik yeh allama bheta hoa hai pakistan ke andar baaqi sab anney hain...
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
We should all post the link to the TI report and its interpretation each time TRD forgets and mentions it again, one day he'll learn hopefully :D
btw, TRD there are many who are in Pakistan as well who think Mush govt is least corrupt. Infact most Pakistanis, inside or outside Pakistan, cant deny the fcat that this govt is much less corrupt.
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
Don't these people have anything better to do? can they not make an honest living anywhere? why do they still dream about looting Pakistan? I am sure that some foreign elements are supporting them as the best way to destabilise and set Pakistan back.
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
who was that joke about bribing to be 2nd? and when? do you remember?
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
These people should be sent to Mars or moon and given vast areas of land to rule, perhaps they will forget about ruining Pakistan.
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
Ayub Khans friends and family made millions, Zias friends and family made millions..the tragedy is that the generals lead the way but never get punished.
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
It's a well known fact now that many retired and as well as sitting army Generals were out of the NAB ambit. Why was the chairman of NAB Lieut-General Amjad refrained from probing into the dubious affairs of some retired army men like Anwar Shamim, Fazle Haq or Aslam Beg? How some army generals and their sons became billionaires? The following list was compiled by NAB, these people possesed more than $ 1 billion. See how many brave generals/brigadiers of the glorious army are shining here.
Asif Ali Zardari
Nawaz Sharif
Anwar Saifullah
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain
Manzoor Wattoo
Salman Farooqi
Ahmed Sadiq
Shaukat Kazim
Humayun Akhtar Khan
Ijazul Haq
General Fazl-e Haq (deceased)
Lt gen. (retd.) Zahid Ali Akbar
Gohar Ayub (retd captain)
Captain Naseer
Aftab Sherpao (retd major)
General (retd) Aslam Beg
Brigadier (Retd) Imtiaz
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan’s future
yeah basically when nigeria was ranked #1 and pak #2 in corruption.. th ejokle was that the pkistani govt bribed nigerians to take the top spot to prevent bay izzati.
secod joke was that when those rankings came out zardari went to benazir and said, I told u were were not taking enough.
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
fact remains that the two whiners sitting in London and crying had extremely corrupt regimes as the transparency international's report indicates. why bring them back. why let them be back?
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan’s future
ur analysis is as great as any small mosque molvi about international affairs.. manipulating results and showing partly things..
please go to report 30 of 1996 Transperancy International and see that Musharaf’s present governmrnt is most corrupt in Pakistans history!!! 67 % rate it most corrupt..
http://www.transparency.org.pk/documents/National%20Corruption%20Perception%20Survey%202006.pdf
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
Page 3 of the report states that "some of the departments have become cleaner which shows that reforms impemented by the government in these departments have taken a positive effect.........the survey studies only the corruption faced by the public in obtaining services from Government departments".
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan’s future
I agree with Fraudz, and he is right in stating that Benazir was the most corrupt. The second question about the present regime is independent from the first one. Your interpretion that 67% of Pakistanis view the current government as the most corrupt would be correct only if the total of the first and the second question came to 100%…it clearly does not. Therefore you are misrepresnting the data. You are comparing apples with oranges.
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan’s future
hahahaahh dude, did you really pass your high school math and english classes.
go read the explanation and try to figure it out. Your insistence of trying to make the numbers something that they are not is ridiculous.
there is no manipulation, I am stating what the report actually means. You are either manipulating it so ppl who dont bother to read the clarification from TI itself get fooled, or maybe you are unable to comprehend what is being said.
its not 67% ppl who think musharraf’s govt is most corrupt. out of 100 ppl, 67 thought that musharraf’s second term is more corrupt than his first term, and 33 thought that his first term was more corrupt than his second term. it has nothing to with how many ppl thought his govt was corrupt.
if you want comparative numbers that is listed right there as well.
out of 100 people
48.7 thought govt of benazir was most corrupt
43.3 thought govt of Nawaz was most corrupt
3.17 thought govt of musharaf was most corrupt
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
one word for BB and His Highness Mr sharif ............. aazmayee huay ko kia aazmaana ??
all millitary govts so far , has been corrupt but they have also done some good / some "naik naami" as well ( allah ka shukar hai) , but BB and his highness has no good deeds on their endless list of unjustice they did during their two timed -high profile regimes.
Re: Benazir in newsweek- I worry for Pakistan's future
Another word for BB and His Highness Mr sharif....... Chor chori say to jai, hera phera say na jai.
