Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Well, not only Imran Khan, but many people are blaming BB for the loss of innocent lives.

She had been given all the warnings about a possible attack, and she herself admits that she knew of threats. Yet she decided to put the lives of thousands of pople at risk to satisfy her ego from behind a fully protected vehicle. Now over 140 people have died needlessly.

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Suddenly Imran has become credible. Wait till he gives a statement against our brilliant president than watch the posts here.

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

BB and Mush are equally responsible for this massacre. Both are morons and ignore the facts and realities on the ground. She has an ego and he doesnt care about innocent lives, reference 12 May and again now.

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Ehsan Bhai, Freedom of expression is a great democratic trait. Something that Pakistanis do not understand as they have never had ‘real’ freedom before President Musharaf came to power, such as Free Media and Free Judiciary, and an elected parliament finshing its full term.

Imran is always welcome to make statement against the greatest leader Pakistan has seen - President Pervaiz Musharaf. Replying to statements and pointing out inaccuracies is also a democratic trait and should be encouraged. :k:

God Bless Pakistan, God Bless President Musharaf, God Bless Free Media, God Bless the Free Judiciary. :jhanda:

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Sanitize the whole mess...otherwise change the name of the country from Pakistan to Miseristan... .D

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

These BB supporters seem better armed than some of armies.

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Thing that Imran Khan does not understand is that most of these suicide bombers are poor, illitrate and young, mostly under 18. They can care less who is an American puppet. There was a story about a 6 year old kid recruited by Taliban to become a Suicide bomber. He was manupilated. I just do not see these people as defenders of Pakistan, democracy or their tribe. There is serious brain washing going on. Imran ignores it.

From now on this is how an Imran Khan's article will go;

"Something happened, Musharraf should be blamed. I am a leader of a justice party. Election will be rigged, they are corrupt. I am a leader of justice party. MQM, Altaf, Benazir and Musharraf."

...and people still waste their time on it.

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

WOW!!! Even Mushrrafs biggest lotas don’t call him “the greatest leader ever”. Why don’t we just give him the title of the “Quaid-e-Azaam” and forget about Jinnah…who has been dead for 60+years and doesn’t need the title anymore.

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

God Bless Immy :jhanda: God Bless Free Media :jhanda: God Bless Bush-Mush-BB Threesome :jhanda:

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Does anyone know if Jemima is coming back to run for election in Pakistan? She sounds more like Pakistani politician than ex wife of Pakistani politician.

Imran, Jemima attack Benazir

Hasan Suroor

LONDON: In a rare double act, the cricketer-turned-politician, Imran Khan, and his ex-wife, Jemima, on Sunday used the pages of a British newspaper to launch an unprecedented attack on the former Pakistan Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, three days after she escaped an assassination attempt.

They blamed the Karachi bomb blasts that nearly killed Ms. Bhutto, and left 130 persons dead, on her brand of politics and her decision not to heed security warnings.

In separate articles, published side by side in The Sunday Telegraph, they also criticised the British government for facilitating Ms. Bhutto’s deal with President Pervez Musharraf, describing him as a Western “stooge”. Mr. Khan said the bombing of her cavalcade as it passed through the streets of Karachi was a “tragedy almost waiting to happen”.

“You could argue, it was inevitable,” he wrote, adding that by agreeing a deal with the Musharraf government to get herself off the corruption charges, Ms. Bhutto had made herself vulnerable, especially as the deal was “brokered” by Britain and America. Ms. Khan [she still uses her former husband’s surname] called Ms. Bhutto a “ruthless kleptocrat in a Hermes scarf”.

Ms. Khan alleged: “It’s all totally bogus. Benazir may speak the language of liberalism and look good on Larry King’s sofa, but both her terms in office were marked by incompetence, extra-judicial killings and brazen looting of the treasury, with the help of her husband — famously known as Mr. 10 Per Cent… make no mistake, Benazir may look the part, but she’s as ruthless and conniving — a kleptocrat in a Hermes headscarf.”

Ms. Khan criticised Western powers for “imposing” Ms. Bhutto on Pakistan, saying it was the “opposite of democratic and doubtless will cause more chaos in an already unstable country.”

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

^ Jemima has certainly spent more time in Pakistan than BB in the last ten years. :D

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Quite true. :rotfl:

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Thanks and I fully agree with both Imran and Jemima, strong words indeed from both. read more about it here

The](http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/000200710220930.htm)** actual articles:**

Imran Khan
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/main.jhtml?xml=/opinion/2007/10/21/do2101.xml](http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/main.jhtml?xml=/opinion/2007/10/21/do2101.xml)

Jemima Khan

She’s back. Hurrah! She’s a woman. She’s brave. She’s a moderate. She speaks good English. She’s Oxford-educated, no less. And she’s not bad looking either.
I admit I’m biased. I don’t like Benazir Bhutto. She called me names during her election campaign in 1996 and it left a bitter taste. Petty personal grievances aside, I still find jubilant reports of her return to Pakistan depressing. **Let’s be clear about this before she’s turned into a martyr. **
**This is no Aung San Suu Kyi, despite her repeated insistence that she’s “fighting for democracy”, or even more incredibly, “fighting for Pakistan’s poor”. **
This is the woman who was twice dismissed on corruption charges. She went into self-imposed exile while investigations continued into millions she had allegedly stashed away into Swiss bank accounts ($1.5 billion by the reckoning of Musharraf’s own “National Accountability Bureau”).
She has only been able to return because Musharraf, that megalomaniac, knows that his future depends on the grassroots diehard supporters inherited from her father’s party, the PPP.
As a result, Musharraf, who in his first months in power declared it his express intention to wipe out corruption, has dropped all charges against her and granted her immunity from prosecution. Forever.
Notably, he did not do the same for his other political rival, Nawaz Sharif, who was recently deported after attempting his own spectacular return to Pakistan.
But the difference is that Benazir is a pro at playing to the West. And that’s what counts. She talks about women and extremism and the West applauds. And then conspires.
The Americans and the British are acutely aware that their strategy in the region is failing and that Musharraf’s hold on power is ever more tenuous. They have pressed hard for Benazir and the General to cut a deal that would allow them to share power for the next five years in a “liberal forces government”.
**It’s all totally bogus. Benazir may speak the language of liberalism and look good on Larry King’s sofa, but both her terms in office were marked by incompetence, extra-judicial killings and brazen looting of the treasury, with the help of her husband — famously known in Pakistan as Mr 10 Per Cent. **
In a country that tops the international corruption league, she was its most self-enriching leader.
Benazir has always cynically used her gender to manipulate: I loved her answer to David Frost when he asked her how many millions she had in her Swiss bank accounts. “David, I think that’s a very sexist question.”
A non sequitur (does loot have a gender?) but one that brought the uncomfortable line of questioning to a swift end.
Of all Pakistan’s elected leaders she conspicuously did the least to help the cause of women. She never, for example, repealed the Hudood Ordinances, Pakistan’s controversial laws that made no distinction between rape and adultery.
She preferred instead to kowtow to the mullahs in order to cling to power, forming an expedient alliance with Pakistan’s Religious Coalition Party and leaving Pakistan’s women as powerless as she found them.
The problem is that the West never seems to learn; playing favourites in a complicated nation’s politics always backfires. Imposing Benazir on Pakistan is the opposite of democratic and doubtless will cause more chaos in an already unstable country.
Make no mistake, Benazir may look the part, but she’s as ruthless and conniving as they come — a kleptocrat in a Hermes headscarf.

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

You forgot to add MQM to the list. There is a lot of love between BB and Altaf Husain these days. :jhanda:

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

^ There arent too many hopes from Altaf, he spends his 'ratain' counting money from his units, and his offspring tally is very lousy...

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

So chooha bil se bahir aahi gya. Chalo blessings do Altaf qatil ko jisay tum dil aor jaan se chahtay ho. Jaldi se Altaf ko jhandy par charhao. Shabaash der na karo.

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Farid bhai, are you calling BB a chooha? Do you diasagree with her sudden love for MQM for the sake national unity?

May there be love amongst all Pakistanis. Ameen.

God Bless President Musharaf for creating harmony. God Bless Pakistan. :jhanda:

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

Imran and Jemima saying the same things at the same time. It seems that Imran and Jemima are falling for the reconciliation spirit as well

Re: Benazir Bhutto has only herself to blame - Imran Khan.

God Bless them. Tis the season to be jolly. :)
