I have bought some really nice belts recently .. for my western dresses , but now keen on using them with my eastern desi dresses as well … am i thinking bad? 
… someone said they are out of fashion 
any idea what type of dresses they can be used with?

With long dresses, skirts and harem pants belts with look good. I just can't imagine someone wearing a belt with shalwar kameez or saari or pishwaz. And belts are never really out of fashion, it's just their size that matters, these days all type of belts are in except the ones with big buckles.

wow .. that sounds good Hareem … I have a long , flowy dress … more like a frock … and I wear it with a pyjama , and is visible not more then a few inches … I have been thinking of using my silver belt on it .. coz its got a simple waist , most of the work of done on the neckline or the border of the dress … you reckon it would be ok ? pishwaz is anarkali right? this dress is similar to anarkali but alot more flowy …
