Belonging and self-acceptance

" True belonging only happens when we present our authentic, imperfect selves to the world. Our sense of belonging can never be greater than our level of self-acceptance".
What are your thoughts about this?

Re: Belonging and self-acceptance

I just had this discussion with Safy and after a long debate I think I got thru to him. I think being yourself is a terrible idea. You get a sense of belonging by being pleasant and by contributing to the society. I went in to work today on my day off as I thought Kristy did not handle the month end properly, I was really ticked and upset but I kept my real feelings to myself and guided her politely and pleasantly and she told me that she will be more proactive going forward.

Re: Belonging and self-acceptance

That’s true, because true belonging or belongingness covers vast part of one’s life… but in some cases it depends… Self-acceptance is also very important… and in some cases it’s greater than belongingness…

btw, in desi community, belongingness is preferred..

P.S: I’ve a question, why do you think people go to gym(mostly boys) & girls go to beauty parlour?? what is it ??
