I don't have a PhD, but I do have a bachelors in religious studies.
You should really look at what people offer instead of slamming them because it doesn't support a confirmation bias.
Of course, I do recall your attitude (and several others), in a former thread about magic, wherein I had explained what magic IS, much of how it is practiced and so forth. I was belittled and considered a blasphemer for explaining the scientific method.

But may be she not be knowing what girls of our 21st century Pakistan really do.

i think that religiously we believe that magic (all magic is black?) and jinn exist and happen. However in muslim world little education wordly and heavenly has attributed to labelling many tangible things as magic and evil. Thus many muslims now shun the idea of magic and jinn totally. I would say denying existance of life that didnt fall into homo sapians would be very narrow. Science also enables us to udnerstand that humans have limited powers in all things matter, the way we see colour,hear sounds everything has to be at a certain wavelength or degree for it to be seen,heard and felt by us. Saying nothing exists other than us would be like saying we KNOW all there is to the world. I donot think any educated human being can make that claim for one certainty that comes out of all forms of knowledge (religious,scietific) is that we DONOT KNOW everything. So i think a momin scientific scholar would be at an advantage in pursuing the search for knowledge. my two befuddling cents.
Kala jadoo/jins etc do exist, its the lack of understanding people have of these things that cause problems. One little thing can go wrong in someones life and all of a sudden theyre claiming black magic has been done on them, or someone had put thavises on them. Thats why people are quick to dismiss the idea, because it starts to much bull****.
