Now Residence is a temporary thing. Today here can be tomorrow there. Thats the best part of being human. Nothing is permanent except your identity.
Everyone is different. You are right to some extent. But you should sympathize with them instead of abandoning. They need more attention thats why they āpretendā to be superior.
Are you into poetry or music? There is a famous urdu poem sang by Jagjeet/Chitra which goes, "Tum itna jo muskura rahe ho, kya gham hai jisko chupa rahe ho.. "

More than one reason :
*Too tired to get up and warm something to eat.
*I was too busy to have lunch and dinner last night and when I got free(before sleeping), I was too tired and mad to eat.
