This is an Indian drama, showing a Muslim family. I don’t
watch it regularly, but sometimes. Two days back, in the
episode , shown at 20:30 Pakistan Time at ARY Zindagi,
there was a scene where quran khwani was being held for
Usman Abdullah. There are two things I noticed , which
showed disrespect. One was that a group of men was sitting
in rows, one behind another and holding Quran in their
hands. Whereas it is a disrespect to have your backs
towards Quran. I am not very sure on this one as I was
doing some work while glancing at the screen, and a friend
later told me . But one scene I saw myself was that Aaliya
was reciting Quran , sitting in a separate room where Zain
goes with a glass of water, when She tries to hold that
glass, He throws it to her face While she was holding
Quran in her hands.
It’s a shame that the story of this play is by a Muslim
called Saba something. But it is a greater shame that ARY
people can only blame others ; Geo ; for their blasphemous
actions, while keeping their eyes closed on their content.
Now where is Mubashir Luqman who spent days , showing
clips from dramas of Geo with bad dialogues ( oh and by
the way, when Luqman was showing those clips, same day
there was a drama coming on ARY where a daughter said to
her mom that i cant wait for all this iddat thing, when i
will take divorce, i will remarry asap. Mom said main kab
keh rahi houn k tum iddat guzaarou, bus talaaq sai pehlay
maal nikalwa laina; and then daughter says kuch nai hai us
k paas. kangla hai; kia socha tha. ) So Luqman had all
those Moulvis on his forum to discuss unIslamic concepts
of halala etc shown on Geo, why didnt he see his own
dramas and dramas on other channels as similar kind
dialogues were there in a Hum Tv drama, not to forget that
Hum drama where they showed that without nikkah, Sohai Ali
aBro gets married while her sis signs on nikkah nama;
total psycho drama). I guess main reason for drama going
down on Hum is stories by digest writers; its the same
like u start using stage-play concepts in dramas)
I am not with Geo but things should be fair. If Mubashir
Luqman can take time out to search and show even the
dubbed Turkish drama Mera Sultan, projecting un Islamic
incidents , why can’t he see his own channel (as only he
was sitting with the main top people of ARY as Haji Iqbal
and Salman Iqbal in ARY Awards, so he must be having
powerful position in ARY) for foreign and local content.
