When a person says they were raised in a particular decade, what age bracket comes to mind? I mean, a child born in 1990 is raised in the 90’s but obviously his/her influences wouldn’t be all that much from the 90’s (well thats my opinion at least) Maybe a person born in the 80’s might have more 90’s in him than a person born in the 90’s. What do you guys think?

I consider myself a child of the 90s even though I was born in the 80s because whatever happened in the 80s I was too young to remember. So I think that's how it would be..iof someone said they're a child of the 70s/80s/90s/00s...

^^^this....a person like myself, born in the mid to late 70's is a child of the 80's!! i don't remember the disco era, obviously, but i am definately a member of the whole launch of MTv, pacman, MJ Thriller generation!!!

I was born in the 80's but I consider myself from the 50's-70's as I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with my parents and grand parents.

Cool. So I guess being born in a certain decade dosen't necessarily mean you're a child of that decade. I'd consider myself a 90's or even 2000's kid. Was playing pokemon on gameboy and super smash bros on 64 into my teens. Also remember when linkin park stopped being cool :(

I was born after 1990 so essentially I'm a 00 kid. Like Sara said, I was too young to remember anything from the 90s and what I do remember is not enough for me to relate to that time.

90s ~ 00s
I can relate to my SOs childhood a lot even though he’s older than me.
I grew up in a multicultural household so.. pokemon, magic school bus, gameboys (when I lived in philippines I got my first gameboy colour and now that I think about it my first pirated game..lol).. I also watched some Australian tv shows but I can’t remember them now.
