In Pakistan, It is considered very normal to ask young people about there salary, kiya package lay rahay hoo, kitnee salary uta rahay hoo.

i would never ask someone about their salary...purely because i would not like to discuss mine if they were to ask me. therefore wont even try to look at their payslips.

yes if their payslips are lying around on the desk/table (and the person is not present)...i may be tempted to know it but i will try my very best to not to do it...again for the same reasons >>> i would not like it either if in my absence somebody looks at my payslip which was lying on the table/desk.

I have acquaintances...people I am friendly with but that's enough.

i dont think i would take a peek ..

anyways, in my friends group we do tell one another how much we earn whevener we get part time or temporary jobs :D (we're all studying now)
