Being Lazy

So is it just me or anyone else feels this way now and then?
Sometimes I don’t feel like doing any household chores at all… I feel super lazy :hinna:. So, I get home after work, let my hubby heat his own food, feed my daughter quickly, go to our bedroom, just give my daughter some printed pages & crayons to color with and then play Farmville or watch TV, even though I know I could do a lot of chores around the house in an hour, like laundry, folding, loading the dishwasher, cleaning my closet, cleaning the mess my daughter made with paper and scissors, etc.

What do you people do when you feel lazy? Do you laze around or still go ahead and do all the chores you need to do to ensure a clean, neat house and a sane morning the next day.

No its just you.

Re: Being Lazy

^haha... so I'm the only abnormal one then.

Re: Being Lazy

:D Joke aside, feeling lazy and feeling tired are two diff things although I must admit that when I feel lazy, I reprioritized the stuff that I wanted to do and remove the stuff that can wait. I complete what had to be done and reward myself with some lazy time after that.

Re: Being Lazy

There's more to life than housework. I think if both partners are working it's perfectly okay to do only the important ones during the week and leave everything else to the weekend.

You need to relax too, otherwise what is your life? Go to work, work, come home, work.

Having said that, you may want to substitute farmville for something more worthwhile like a decent game (that you say you really miss!).

i come here and go through life n relationships threads.... right now i have so much work to do but i dont feel like doing anything

Re: Being Lazy

you are not alone. sometimes I dont feel like going to work ...but then I drag myself out of bed :(

Re: Being Lazy

@ stoppit: :D I've been playing some on my NDS, just starting Hotel Dusk... have heard ppl raving about it. But I play only on weekends, after taking care of the housework.

And TLK, I'm not talking about being tired.... I do the chores even when I'm super tired, I'm talking about being purely lazy .... just not feeling like doing chores

Re: Being Lazy

I get like that sometimes...mostly on Wednesdays...dont know why that is. But I get back at it the next day otherwise my place looks like a mess.

Its ok to be lazy after a hard day at work. Things only get abnormal when ur lazy but u haven't done anything but sit on ur bottom all day long... reminds me of a joke...

A site foreman had ten very lazy men working for him, so one day he decided to trick them into doing some work for a change.

"I've got a really easy job today for the laziest one among you," he announced. "Will the laziest man please put his hand up."

Nine hands went up.

"Why didn't you put your hand up?" he asked the tenth man.

"Too much trouble," came the reply.

Re: Being Lazy

I am lazy when I eat too much or I am little too comfortable with stuff . Deadlines drive me . One always need something to motive him . Something more than completion of task .

and I did talk about what I do when I feel lazy ...

Occasional laziness is fine I think. Its normal.

Re: Being Lazy

i am too lazy and relaxed :bummer:

Re: Being Lazy

i m too lazy an....

(i cant complete the post due to my laziness ..may be some time later )

Re: Being Lazy

Substitute the time you spend on GS with activities you do for yourself that relax you.

When I feel lazy, I actually work on some housework. :hehe:

I am on room number 2 right now. Still have 2 more rooms to go - kitchen and bedroom. I clean with funky new age / indie instrumentals on in the background. Or I go to the gym, or beach. Or watch TV if I feel REALLY lazy.

I am lazy when I asleep.

I am lazy when I am awake.

I am lazy when I am doing nothing.

I am lazy when I am doing uni ‘work’.

I am half-lying down as I type. (I kid you not)

Yawn. :hayaa:

Re: Being Lazy

Sometimes i get very lazy, or im over energenic. Theres no happy medium, i know im a freak :(

Re: Being Lazy

I am a stay at home mom/part time student and i still am lazy at times. On days like that, i let housework slide. But then the next day, i fold my sleeves, and scrub everything down, so it makes up for the lazy days.

Re: Being Lazy

It is OK to wind down after a hard days work. It is called winding down for a reason. But it should not last the whole evening at least not every day of the work week.
